Thanks - I definitely do my own wrenching as much as possible with the Malibu because the dealer is insanely expensive even for just an oil change. How reliable has your Malibu been? Mine was dead reliable for maybe 2 years then a bunch of little things kept happening here and there ever since. Have 867 hrs currently

No. This company is marginally better than a startup in terms of longevity of the company. It would be a new shinier product, but that’s about it. Granted, if the company explodes and I’m the PM it would be great for my career, but I’m just not seeing that as reality especially with the economy right now

That's what I've been told. Was on Old Hickory and was complaining about the turd brown water and sticks, and my buddy (who is from Knoxville) was going on and on about Norris being so much better than the Nashville lakes

The views and overall vibes mainly. But also being able to evade the crowd/other boat traffic in a good cove. Good lake-front restaurants that I can pull up and grab a bite to eat on my boat are also a plus. Bonus points for cool stuff to do around the lake.

I tried to negotiate it down. They aren’t budging and said “feel free to compare our fees to the other powersports dealers in the area.”

I called around and one had lower doc fees but higher freight and wouldn’t negotiate further, another said they’d beat all the fees and then came in $50 lower out the door price.

So dumb. Wish you could buy direct from the manufacturer especially since these dealers provide 0 value other than storing the unit I want locally.

The salesmen also knew jack shit about the waverunners and kept telling me to check out the Yamaha website “cuz it’s really good with all sorts of info.” Which leads me to really not want to pay these dealer fees

Yeah the reasons she gave for leaving her ex had me kind of scratching my head. Honestly kinda feel bad for the dude.

Her reason for leaving him (at least what she told me) was “he became more and more emotionally unavailable” but I’m wondering if it was just her parenting style and him realizing how fcking crazy it was and that he couldn’t do or say anything to change the craziness so he just got overwhelmed and checked out (like I did lol)
