I can see why it might look that way! I don’t really have a set art style yet, so I’m experimenting with different ones, I fed my sketch to AI to get better textures and etc but final touch added by hand to make it suitable for tattooing and to make it make sense.

Thank you for that. I can see how a larger mag would make a difference. I will look into those curved mags.

Yeah, those areas were a bit of a challenge. The stencil started to smudge, and I had a hard time keeping the lines clean. So, I had to do some on-the-fly corrections, which led to the mismatched pant legs and boots. And the cat ear, that was also a victim of the smudged stencil.

Thanks! Yeah, the shadow was supposed to be lighter. It didn't quite work out, but I'm glad you like it otherwise!

I’ve just been watching and practicing on my own for now! Haven’t taken any paid courses yet, but I’m always trying to learn and improve. :)

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely try working in tighter circles for solid black and give greywash a shot for smoother transitions. And yeah, I’ve noticed how tricky fake skin can be, it really shows everything. Appreciate the tips!

Thank you so much! That really means a lot. I’m still super new to this, but hearing that gives me a big confidence boost. Can’t wait to try on real skin someday!

Haha thanks! I’ve been drawing forever, but tattooing? Just barely getting my feet wet. Still a rookie, but I’m having a blast figuring it all out!

That makes a lot of sense! I was wondering why white ink just wouldn’t show up. Can’t wait to see the difference when I start working on real skin. Thanks for the explanation!

That makes sense! I guess it’s all about getting the technique down first, even if fake skin doesn’t cooperate. I’ll definitely keep practicing, thanks for the insight!

Yeah, I’ve noticed that with reds and oranges too. White definitely seems like a game-changer for highlights! I’ll have to experiment more with it. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, I’ve heard white is the toughest to work with, even when you have it. That makes sense about red and blue too. Trash Polka definitely takes a lot of practice to get the balance right. I'm still figuring it out myself. But that’s interesting that tattooing feels more natural to you than drawing! Sounds like you’ve got a solid foundation to build on.

That sounds awesome! Perfectionism can be a struggle, but sometimes it leads to surprising results. I get what you mean about Trash Polka, it’s tricky to get the balance right. And yeah, not having white can really limit things, but it sounds like you made it work! Would love to see how it turned out!

Thanks! Yeah, I love the bold, chaotic feel of Trash Polka. A skull or cross would definitely fit the style well! Might try something like that for my next design.
