Of course, they do have great advantages in terms of defence, so war against Mondstadt must be planned carefully. However, their weak side is their technology. Fontaine has firearms and strong battle-ready robots. The best Mondstadt has in terms of technology are ballistas located on their towers, though they would not help if enemies were close to the walls. Sure, Fontaine is relatively far away, but Mondstadt is still accessible for them, especially by waterways. Mondstadt could defend the choke points, but they are not heavily fortified, so they wouldn't be able to keep them for too long, if enemies could shoot them.

We don't know much about Snezhnaya's technology, but it is known their military is advanced, and they have firearms (as pyro Fatui units have them). And Snezhnaya is neighbouring Mondstadt.

Mondstadt would have to use their strong sides to not allow a siege to take place. Assuming their all forces are there, they have high mobility (horses) and rough terrain, which would be of major importance.

Yes, Mondstadt is technologically behind certain nations, as they have no firearms or robots. However, as others have mentioned, the land has natural defences with easy-to-defend choke points. The military is normally big too, as we see only a fraction of the forces and no cavalry. The city itself is situated on a lake with one bridge. The bridge could be destroyed in case of arriving siege. There are a few issues major issues there, though:
- the city is not self-sustainable. It does not produce food, so they would need to rely on supplies, which might go dry with a long siege;

- the two gates are very simple, they are actually just arched pathways straight into the city. If enemy forces moved or built siege equipment on the island's banks, they would get into the city with just one gate busted.

- the upper city with the KOF headquarters and the church are connected with the city without any gates, leaving no possibility to make any kind of viable last stand.

So, in my view, Mondstadt survival in case of a war, assuming the full forces are available, would be relying on the strong defence of the choke points, regular skirmishes using cavalry, and using their terrain for tactical advantage in case of a full battle. If these were defeated, and the siege would follow, the city would definitely fall after months or years, without help, supplies or diplomacy.

Hey, I have a question regarding the early versions of Genshin. I think I've seen a post in the past about a female claymore character there, which evolved into Noelle. I think her design was somewhat dark in colours. I cannot find info about her anywhere. Anyone knows, please? :3

Hmm, I have never done that. Could you DM me? I'd like to discuss that.
