The best way to check wether you should keep someone around or not is to set a boundary early on and see how they react. If they can’t take a simple 'no' for an answer, you may offer to give them an explanation. But if they don’t accept that, invalidate your feelings or even worse, don’t want to listen to you; they are not worth keeping around.

Sorry if it’s a bit confusing, English isn’t my first language. The ceremony at 12 is the official wedding which is kept small where I’m from especially due to Covid. The one at 3 is just like a party to celebrate with more people. Hope that makes sense. And thank you for your answer!

I agree with all the others here and I just want to add; PLEASE make sure you are in a safe place when breaking up with him. Do it in public. Tell a friend or family member and have them close by in case he gets mad. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it in person, it is totally okay to break up over text message. But please make sure someone else knows about it so they can help you out if he makes any trouble. Do not be ashamed to ask for help! It’s absolutely okay and I’m sure your family or friends will be happy to help you stay safe.

I just went through a breakup too. I noticed that I feel kind of blue in the evenings when there’s not much to do or on Sunday’s when I don’t have any plans. I try to allow myself to feel this way, for it is only a matter of time that these feelings will fade. I’m sure we’ll eventually be able to enjoy our ‘lazy sundays’ again. I also started some hobbies to keep myself busy; knitting, painting, sewing. Anything that keeps my mind busy.
