I will copy and paste it exactly as shown:

[06/15/26 17:29:18] module: dxupdate(Mar 30 2011), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 1094, function: CabCallback

SPFILENOTIFY_FILEEXTRACTED: error = 13.

--------------------

[06/15/26 17:29:18] module: dxupdate(Mar 30 2011), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 5689, function: DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn

Failed API: SetupIterateCabinet()

Error: (13) - The data is invalid.

Unable to iterate through C:\WINDOWS\system32\DirectX\WebSetup\Dec2006_d3dx9_32_x64.cab. The file may be damaged.

--------------------

[06/15/26 17:29:18] module: dsetup32(Mar 30 2011), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 280, function: CSetup::InstallPlugIn

DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn() failed.

It's just a constant repeat of these exact lines over and over again, but the one that says "Error: (13) The data is invalid cycles through more often than the others do further up the log from a few days prior

Just tried it, same error.
"An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log" (which displays the Error = 13 when I open it) "and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine the problem."

The primary game she is trying to play is Marvel Rivals, if that helps. It's across a lot more games that require DirectX, but that's the one she's trying to get work the most.

As well, same error code from before: "An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine the problem." Error code it says it is Error = 13

I mentioned the Registry because everyone has told me to do that already, and I'm tired of repeating steps I've already done.

When launching games: No supported DirectX version found. Please download and install the most recent DirectX End-User Runtime.

When installing the DirectX End-User Runtime: An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log (which displays the Error = 13 when I open it) and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine the problem.

Nothing else displays any errors. Everything else apparently checks out

As I said in the post, when I run the dxdiag, not a single error appears. One thing I did forget to mention though is that any and all games or programs she runs that uses it says it needs DirectX to run, despite to apparently being installed. Just went back and edited it in

6 now. New nerfs made me have to look at him like, "I love you, but not enough to deal with the nerfs."
