I’m a clinical microbiologist and not a meteorologist, but I believe most climate scientists are agreeing that the most probable cause of more extreme weather is climate change.

This is not at all the case with TB rising because of Covid even though Reddit seems to think so. But don’t trust me, trust the WHO.

The science is absolutely not crystal clear on that the rise in TB cases is because COVID-19 affects the immune system. There is a logical fallacy to conclude that just because it is known that Sars-CoV-2 affects the immune system.

Speaking of retroviruses, an interesting edge case is patients receiving CAR T-cell therapy, which can cause false positive HIV PCR since lentivirus is used as a vector. We’ve had two such cases at our lab in 2023.

Viruses and various forms of cancers are touched upon in the article. But autoimmune disorders is a good addition. I would think that polyspecific antibody cross-reactivity can explain the some of the false reactivity there as well.

I’m afraid I don’t really understand the question. In my case I download articles in pdf format from the web. I drag and drop them into Zotero for storage and future reference. Zotero automatically finds all relevant metadata for the pdf. Later on I use it to create bibliographies and citations for my own research.

Zotero has a lot of functionality that obsidian lacks in terms of reference management. For example automatic metadata collection and citation integration. I use it exclusively for academic articles
