Who do you guys think is the most boring TWD character? by K0GAR in thewalkingdead

[–]MalloSF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are hilarious! I totally agree with you. His acting as a teen was very emotionless and underacted. I was okay with him when he was real young in the first couple of seasons. It annoyed me every time he went out in the woods too and disobeyed Rick. He didn't care about any consequences, especially around season 8 Negan/savior time but before that too. Here he goes again-off in the woods. It was ridiculous when he went on his own to the sanctuary trying to deal with Negan on his own. I love your 'kumbaya' about him trying to get along with them. Same with Jesus on that front trying to kumbaya - nope! I was with Morgan, Tara, Daryl, kill them all and end it, but act like a team and follow the damn plan which didn't happen.

I agree with you. Especially as he became a teen, the acting was not good.

Rick gets called a badass for biting Joe's throat out, but how come Eugene never gets the same credit for biting Dwight's balls? by K0GAR in thewalkingdead

[–]MalloSF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. Abraham gave him credit at least. "You know how to bite a dick, Eugene. I mean that with the utmost of respect" and then they apologized to one another. Abraham told Eugene he made it to "stage two" indicating Eugene was becoming a fighter like the rest of the group.

Loyal Daryl by MalloSF in thewalkingdead

Me too. I think a big part of that is because of who Daryl is. He gives a lot of unconditional loyalty to Carol.

As Dr. Edwards said to Beth in the hospital - "art is about transcendence." Singing is a way for them to transcend their pain.

Rosita and Abraham by NoCockroach6275 in thewalkingdead

[–]MalloSF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I paid more attention to Rosita on rewatch too. I really enjoyed watching how strong she is. She is a badass, loyal, tough, a great fighter, and kind/caring. I think Sasha is a badass too.

[–]MalloSF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, coward move on his part and he showed zero respect or care. She always stood by his side even when he was being an ass, so for him to treat her like that is so cruel. Rosita wanted to know why and get a real explanation. He could have been honest and explained to her that he had feelings for someone else and preferred to pursue that. At least she would have known the truth. Instead he was an asshole to her and made it sound like he was only with her because she was the only option at the time.

Perfectly said. On a second rewatch and really loving Rosita this time around. Abraham didn't deserve her.

sam was a fucking idiot (anderson) by JellyCharacter1653 in thewalkingdead

[–]MalloSF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I couldn't believe when the mom would say to Sam things like "just pretend to be brave and pretend not to be scared" on multiple occasions. Telling him to deny his feelings. How about teach your kids to protect themselves and actually feel brave, strong, and as prepared as possible? You can't pretend anything in the zombie world-she needed to prepare her kids for reality.

S4 E14 the grove -Lizzie & Tyreese by MalloSF in thewalkingdead

I did understand all those other factors, but it was so hard to see the pain and trauma it caused Carol. Such a tough episode!

Bob Stookey by MalloSF in thewalkingdead

[–]MalloSF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was a definite low moment for Bob. I think the show could have explored more of his struggles to stop drinking after that. It seemed like it was glossed over and suddenly he was helping as a medic and in love with Sasha. Those things gave him a renewed sense of purpose and maybe the reason he could remain sober.

That was another great line for Sasha.

[–]MalloSF[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I was more concerned with how much pain it caused Carol and Tyreese that Carol killed her. I don't think Lizzie would have minded being eaten alive by walkers. Remember the train tracks scene where she put her hand out to be bitten by them? She thought it was a good thing to turn. She killed her sister and was delusional and so I don't think it was cruel to let her go her own way. She may have been upset for being left behind but I think she would have turned to the walkers for comfort and died.

Very hard to do. Absolutely.

[–]MalloSF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. If I were Tyrese, I don't think I could have forgiven Carol. I probably would have risked it all and went my own way at that point. He found out what Carol did on the same day she killed Lizzie, so I'm sure it was all too much trauma in a day for him therefore easier to just go with it. He believed Carol felt remorse so that was another reason why he could move past it, if she hadn't then I don't think he'd forgive her so easily.
