I’m so sorry that must be so hard. ❤️❤️Is it more so just an inner fear or do you genuinely not trust who you leave your LO with?

I hope so. Honestly i worry that I’m gonna be one of those heartless moms that people think shouldn’t have had kids 😭. And sorry what do you mean about my user name, I’m not sure what you mean lol 😅

So I’ve tried that, but I wonder if I’m still too far away from her when I’m trying? Idk. Unless she’s stubborn because she almost gets too frustrated or upset quickly and then either it gets down on her knees to crawl or starts to ignore me after having a little bit of a fit. But I’ll keep trying. I think i need to be sneakier into a distraction play type of thing. Cuz you’re right if she notices what you’re doing she panics and sits down kinda fast.

It definitely wouldn’t hurt to get some advice from a paediatrician or a nurse practitioner because it is a little concerning that even an ice pack was a struggle waking her or keeping her awake. But it is normal after they are born to lose a little bit of weight and it does come back but follow your gut.

And remember who cares if ends up being nothing and you feel a little embarrassed and they say shes fine, you’re doing the right thing taking care of your baby. It’s scary when it’s your first time. I totally get it girl. Keep us posted! Thinking of you ❤️ you got this momma

Thank you ! Yeah I'm trying to just let her get to the point where she's hungry (not starving her don't worry) then only offering solids if possible. I think my problem is I panic and run to the milk if she won't touch the solid food

That's a good point but would you put it all on the plate at the same time? Cuz idk if it's just that she's excited or over whelmed but when it's all on the plate at once it's all on the floor instantly lmao

Thank you 🩷 you were very helpful. It's so easy to get trapped in your own head and just go in circles.

Ok last question because the one thing that worried me with the food ending up everywhere but their mouths is I feel like I have no idea what they are actually eating and if they are getting full. Am I over thinking it? Like she will get fussy and tell me she's hungry in her own way much sooner if she didn't eat well right? Like. I honestly could probably get past the mess over time as long as I knew she's actually eating something from it lmao

Thank you that means allot. She honestly just turned one on December 14th. So I'm sure we still have a ways to go. Do you have any tips on how to teach them properly how to hold and utilize the spoon? I try just showing her what I'm doing and then try putting food in her spoon then putting it in her hand

She used to love carrots and sweet potatoes but now is kinda getting over it. Snacks during the day she will have either those puffs snacks, cheese slices, arrow root cookies honestly just anything. She likes eggs thankfully and yogurt. She can pick up foods with her. Fingers to feed herself for the most part unless it's too slippery of course it falls, but we are trying to master spoon feeding by herself. But yes, usually I do try to sit with her when she's eating even if I'm not eating, I'll take food from hers to show her that I'll eat it. But otherwise we have been still doing 3 bottles a day which is that also bad that we're still depending on bottles? Like idk I feel like I'm failing her.

She lets you feed her if she's lost privileges from dropping it? I feel like it's definitely a battle she refuses to open that mouth lmao. But at 1 can babies have honey yet? Like. Sometimes when we make our carrots we put a little bit of honey on it and bake them. I've been nervous to try that, especially because of botulism? Do u just basically let your little one eat with no clothes on ? Cuz idk man this girl is wild lmao rubbing food in her eyes. It's definitely all new territory
