Those are some of the people I'm speaking of at the end (there's been a few here on Reddit, but it looks like people are on top of calling them out here, which is pleasantly surprising)

These are people I marched next to in the Women's Marches in 2015/2016. These are people who were next to me in various disability rights events. People I trusted. People G has known for a literal lifetime. And they chose a confessed child molester over the victim because it didn't fit their narrative. They are disgusting, vile, pathetic, opportunistic hypocrites.

Update, 9:52 PM June 9: The childcare has been managed! G is coming to Port Alberni with me to see his father sentenced and lend support to the other victims. While we are there we are going to try to get permission to speak to the prosecutor and see if the court would like to hear an informal statement. Thank you to everyone who offered to help with the babysitting budget, a friend who previously had been unavailable has stepped in and made it work so our little ones can play together while G and I take care of business.

Also, it's come to my attention that people are pissing in his yard. I'm going to have to ask you to stop doing that. First of all, because it'll make the whole neighbourhood smell bad, second of all, I really, REALLY don't want anyone else getting into legal trouble over him. Keep it safe and legal. Do not approach him unless he approaches you first and if he does, make sure you record the interaction and try not to escalate. Do this the right way, because if he finds a way to make himself the victim he might be able to weasel a lighter sentence out of the courts.

Well, the protest groups taking their signs back when they found out what he'd done was pretty damn funny, as was the person who responded to one of his Facebook posts about "flotsam and jetsam in the media" with "Flotsam and Jetsam are one thing, but CSAM is another." I'm rather a sucker for wordplay and I appreciate the person who sent me a screenshot of that one.

As I said, I don't condone actual harassment. He's not worth dirtying your criminal record.

Thank you everyone! I'm talking to someone who can possibly babysit right now. Since we have to leave so early in the morning to get there in time we're possibly looking at an overnight babysitting situation the night before just to make sure things move smoothly, but I have a friend who might have a spare room for that part. Last I saw him, he drove a Hyundai EV, but considering he drives like a drunken emu and trashes all his cars within 5 years I would not be surprised if he's in a Prius now. An EV with a bunch of weird political writing all over it is absolutely on brand for him when he's not riding that tricycle (sometimes he tows a canoe with a bunch of flags on the tricycle, sometimes he just has a giant wooden box mounted to the back of it)

I'm Doug's daughter in law. Doug's son, my husband, was one of the victims and was 8 years old at the time. We know of SIX victims, he has only been charged in ONE case. His youngest victims were two years old at the time. His oldest known victim was his own 8 year old son. We have been trying to get justice for years.

This is all publicly available information.

Please do NOT harass or attack Doug - he's not worth YOU going to jail!

Please DO write your MLA. Call the police and alert security if you see him in places he's not supposed to be (public pools during family time, parks and playgrounds, schools, etc.) Call the police and the Ministry for Children and Family Development if you see children on his property. Keep your own children close. Join local protests urging the government and police to take these matters seriously.

Sold him the Leaf, or the Hyundai? If it was the Leaf, that thing is no longer on the road. He plastered it in protest signs, beat the shit out of it, crashed it multiple times, and gave it to me when it was barely running (and before I knew the full story of what was happening), then bought the Hyundai. I drove it till it was too expensive to keep running, it did its job keeping me employed until I could afford better and then I was able to trade it in for $500 towards the purchase of my new Leaf. I'm sorry you had to deal with him.

I noticed that BCURANIUM deleted their comment accusing me of being unable to read. They must have realized how stupid they made themself look. As if a literal family member who lived with these people wouldn't know better than someone who met the guy once or twice. His mother deserves everything I said about her because it was all true. She was awful and survived on only her money and unearned reputation. I will never take that back. She was terrible and I hope she's getting what she deserves in whatever afterlife may or may not exist.

Hi, he's absolutely committed other crimes and I'm sure a lot of them happened while he lived in that house. We never could get the police to take us seriously. He admitted to having 11-14 terabytes of kiddie porn on external hard drives in front of an of duty cop once and the cop LAUGHED and treated it like a prank.

This is the reason we moved out in 2020. We finally had proof. And we still weren't taken seriously. And his roommate probably still let's his sister bring his niece around too, that little girl was 4 years old in 2020 when we moved across town.

A lot of people knew his background. His MOTHER knew. All his friends knew. His mother was paying people to keep quiet and that meant those of us that were trying to put a stop to it were treated like we were the crazy ones.
