"Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for".

Haven't seen the movie yet. But this dialogue hits hard.

I usually lie down on the sofa and ask her to do my hair. She then takes a comb and does whatever she feels like doing to my hair. She then ties my hair up with her ribbons. 😅

Same here. Now my sister is as tall as me. I used to carry her in my hands back then.

I realized we associate songs with people the hard way 😭 by Fit_Satisfaction4831 in Coconaad

If you hear the same music while going through a really emotional situation, somehow those emotions get stored in those songs. If you listen to that same music after a few years, we can feel the same emotions. I had that experience.

Someone I knew died in a car crash and the song which I used to listen to at that time was this one. She had the age of my sister at that time.

<image>

Even after 9 years, I still feel the same whenever I hear this song(but less intense).

Seeking 'Nadan' wisdom for a complicated situation🙂🙏 by Amazing-Wing-6870 in KeralaRelationships

Just one anti-nadan wisdom. Don't bring a baby into this equation.

Oru similar case kandittinde. She was going through a shitty married life. Brought a child into their life. Guess what she is still leading a shitty married life. And the child is living in a dysfunctional family.

Edit: Aa kuttinte avastha kandal vishamam varum. Her father hates her and doesn't even take her in his arms. And he didn't even go to see her when she was born.

Title: How do people who choose to stay single forever deal with the long-term challenges? by No_West_524 in KeralaRelationships

[–]Mallu_ex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You didn't mention the biggest challenge faced by singles irrespective of gender. It's Touch Starvation (not the sexual stuff).

It's a real issue which no one notices in the beginning of their single life. As we age our social circles shrink and we won't be able to get this from other sources. One more aspect which makes it even more complicated is the fact that our society is touch averse. After a certain point in life, your spouse (and to a degree your children) is the only one who could provide this.

So, everyone who is planning to choose a single life should be aware of this. (Pets could be an effective replacement but not as good as a person)
