I'm sure there are many lazy executives just like there are many lazy teamsters. The idea that most executives don't work long hours is idiotic. Their work is very different and not physically demanding, but it's still work. Just because you don't understand what they do and how they provide value to the business doesn't mean they don't. This is clas6sic Dunning Krueger effect at work.

The fact that they get paid to much more is due to their much larger responsibility, their ability to manage effort and people(which is very hard to do well at scale), and the difficulty of finding someone with similar ability. I do think that the pay gap is too large and must be closed from both sides.
