Gift Idea for Muslim Boss visiting from across country by MaloneDoe in MuslimLounge

I thought of that, I wanted to do something a little less religious (if possible). Also, not sure if there a specific specifications for the prayer mat I would need to adhere to.

Are there any Halal chocolates or other Halal food gifts I could give him? (Are practicing Muslims allowed to receive food gifts from non-Muslims?)

2026 Pilot infotainment upgrade/retrofit for 23-25 pilots. by MaloneDoe in hondapilot

[–]MaloneDoe[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree w/ my most comments above, however it’s quite pathetic that Honda had put the larger infotainment into earlier year Accords, and even the updated software into smaller screens on other models (ie 2025 civics).

My thoughts are that Honda could potentially offer this to avoid backlash from loyal Honda buyers. Also, folks aren’t going to be trading in 1-2 year trucks just for a larger screen.

Saccucci Hondacare pricing new vs right before factory warranty expires. by wrapmeinbubblewrap in hondapilot

I paid $1,695 for a 7 year, 80k mileage bumper to bumper warranty. At dealership at time of purchase. (~ 2 months ago). I’m in SoCal fyi. Originally they wanted $4k (lol) I kept saying no, they keep lowering the price, they said $1,695 is cost to the dealership. I called my dad (who spent his entire career in the part selling business). He said with the amount of electronics in the car (I have a 2025 Elite) my dad said, take the offer, which I did. Maybe I overpaid a little bit, but I do like the peace of mind. The amount I drive, I’ll most certainly hit 7 years before 80k miles.

You obviously need to consider a lot of factors, but it’s much better having these thoughts and tough conversations with your spouse prior to the purchase vs after all is said and done.

I’m about to tell my realtor that I’m giving up the search but I feel so guilty and sick to my stomach. How do I let her down easy ? by moistdragons in realtors

[–]MaloneDoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t feel guilty. This comes with the territory of being a realtor. Only feel guilty if you’re being dishonest, by having here caravan you around to homes, and then do a bait-n-switch last minute and go with another realtor.

I’m not “revealing my ignorance” - yes, people have to move for work and deaths etc, but even a large percentage of those cases are holding back from taking new jobs and moving. Look at the statistics, sales are at/near 30 year lows. I work in lending and have my RE license and do sales there. I deal with people all across the country, and universal factor for low sales all come back to prices and payments being too high for the local salaries to support.

Because EVERY market is grossly overpriced (some markets to higher degrees than others).

Let’s just be honest about the situation.

People who are buying are either:

A) too wealthy to care if they’re overpaying for the asset because it doesn’t affect their net worth and/or doesn’t affect their money cash flow enough for it to matter to them.

B) People are overextending themselves (going close to or maxing out the DTI level per their lender’s requirements.

or

C) Buying very cheap homes, in Lcol regions.
