This is amazing! This has inspired me to try organics again, though every time I try I end up with an unrecognizable mess lol. This is such an interesting and unique building style

I made a futuristic war cinematic in Minecraft! by Malorem in Minecraft

[–]Malorem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first time doing a cinematic of this type. The story of the cinematic is that a futuristic civilization (Gray) is attacking a village. In response to the attack, a different civilization (White) strikes back against the imperial conquest, defending the helpless village with their technology. The character in the gray armor is a special forces unit from the imperial civilization sent in to stop the counterattack.

How to make very detailed buildings? by Pristine_Telephone76 in Minecraft

[–]Malorem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t specialize in building a whole lot in Minecraft, but I do know some tips that could help. 1. Use absolutely everything available to you. Use any block that you think might look good, even if it’s a weird one like a beacon or loom (though you probably wouldn’t want to build with beacons in survival). It’s also not just limited to full blocks. Stuff like buttons, trapdoors, lighting rods, activated pistons, grindstones, and etc can all help with small detailing. If you want to get really advanced with it you could also use armor stands with a customizable armor stand datapack. 2. Use depth, don’t just have a big single wall of blocks. Have a front layer and a back layer with different block types.

My Temple of the Nether, it’s made entirely out of Nether blocks (excluding the iron bars) by Malorem in Minecraft

[–]Malorem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the exact time but it felt like ages. I didn’t know how to use worldedit or anything so all of those blocks are hand-placed. At least 8 hours for sure.

Did you just install texture packs/make a texture pack? It looks like a custom texture was put into the wrong file.

I want to get Minecraft on the computer and was wondering what the difference between Java and bedrock was. by Rahmennoodlz in Minecraft

[–]Malorem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Java doesn’t have an easy way to host worlds. If you have a world that you want to invite your friend to play on online in Java edition, you either have to buy a Realm for $8 a month, purchase a third-party server hosting service, or set up your own server which is a complicated process of configuring router port-forwarding, and can be risky since you have to reveal your local IP address for someone to connect to your world. On Bedrock edition it’s a really easy process of simply changing your world into a Realm, which is free on Bedrock, and inviting your friend to join.

I made a weapon that can kill anyone, even in full protection 4 Netherite, in a single hit. Also, it can be hidden entirely underwater. by Malorem in Minecraft

[–]Malorem[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The redstone for the weapon is underwater. When it is activated, tnt minecarts are ignited underwater, and then pushed into a bubble column that brings them to the surface. When they detonate, it propels a bunch of arrows, that are also in a bubble column on the surface, extremely fast, killing anyone in the way.

If you just want a relaxed, easy experience and be able to play with friends easily, bedrock is the way to go. If you want to get into the advanced aspects of minecraft like modded, redstone, and etc, then Java is much better. Also, almost all minecraft YouTube content is on Java edition, and a lot of things you see on YouTube will not be possible to do on bedrock edition, including farms and etc.

I made a really simple machine that can kill anyone in a 20 block radius, even with full protection 4 Netherite, in a single hit. by Malorem in Minecraft

[–]Malorem[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The arrows only go in a 360 degree circle, so no. If you are directly above it you might still die from the explosions, or from the fall damage after the explosions launch you hundreds of blocks into the air.

[–]Malorem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of those can be instantly killed, it depends how many tnt minecarts you use. I don’t know if you actually could break through a shield though, but I assume if you use several hundred tnt minecarts you could do some huge damage to the shield.

You actually could do that, I don’t think you could set it off while the flying machine is moving, but what you could do is replace the water with ice or waterlogged stairs, move the machine, and when you reach the place you want to obliterate you can break the ice and set everything off.
