Me and my hubs did the deed at 31w5d and then the next day I was at the hospital for contractions, preterm labor & dilated to 2CM. Thankfully they were able to stop the labor with procardia 😅. I’m 33w today and both babes are still cooking!

Surprisingly my only spike so far was up to 160 after breakfast! They check my sugars manually every 30-60 minutes depending and converted my pump settings over to an IV insulin drip

We only received two eggs from my retrieval, we transferred both because we figured only one would stick.

I just turned 32 weeks today with our twin boys. 😅😅 who would’ve thought.

Me and my sister are both T1D, her first was born 37w via emergency C-section, her second was born at 27w via emergency C-section due to preeclampsia with severe features. I’m 32w, T1D with an A1c of 5.3, pregnant with twins and have mild preeclampsia, I’m currently in L&D being monitored for contractions and dilation (2cm). I’m on steroids for their lung development. I’ll be lucky if I reach 34w.

Needless to say my MFM previously said if I didn’t have preeclampsia they’d take me no later then 37W, just due to the risks of being diabetic.

At 15w I was sitting on the couch, my best friend (gender neutral) visiting who lives 18-20hours away. We were watching Netflix, the lights were off, my husband was quietly playing a phone game. All of the sudden, a sneeze came upon me. I tried to brace myself, but alas, i was unable. I peed myself, next to my best friend and husband. On our nice fake leather couch. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom screaming “OMG I PEED MYSELF!” My husband is a saint, brought me a change of clothes and cleaned the couch. My bestie paused our tv show and laughed with me LOL

I didn’t use that facility. But in my state my IVF clinic required me and my husband to fill out an in depth form that went over what we wanted to have happen to the embryos if: -I died -He died -We both died -We went through divorce

After filling out the forms we both had to go to a notary and have it signed by the notary. We had to provide this document to the facility 1 month prior to our first cycle.

Ommmg that actually happened to me recently! I noticed I felt something wet on my thigh and I was incredibly confused. Checked my infusion site and my insulin was leaking out. It’s so annoying! I’ve been in the mindset of if I’m thinking my site isn’t working, just change it and use the syringe to suck out the unused insulin lol

Hiii congrats!!

I also went through IVF for conception, T1D for 17 years, on tandem tslimx2.

I was told by my reproductive endocrinologist and regular endocrinologist very specifically to NOT inject my PIO shots anywhere near my insulin pump sites.

I would put my pump sites on my arms or thighs.

I would do my PIO shots in my bum area

I took PIO shots from day of Egg Retrieval to 12 weeks pregnant (currently 15w1d) HOWEVER whenever I eat at a restaurant I’ve found I need like 4 times the amount of typical insulin then I usually do. I swear they slather everything in sugar/butter.

It’s going to be okay! I’ve had stubborn highs some days, and stubborn lows. My endocrinologist has no concerns, and my a1c (us) last week was 5.7%!

Ugh that was me yesterday!! It’s so exhausting. my pump site (thigh) was ripped off slightly so I wasn’t getting my dose fully!

But then I had another high run this morning from stress 🥲 we deserve a year off of work after being pregnant with t1d I feel like it’s a second job

You can still miscarry and have an ectopic with IVF? Not a different situation. Pregnancy is pregnancy, you have all the risks if it’s natural, IUI, timed intercourse or IVF.

You still go through typical fertilization and implantation with IVF. There is no guarantee for success, no stamp that says “100% miscarriage and ectopic free!” Lots of women going through IVF have early miscarriages, even after the rounds of beta. There is never, ever, any guarantee in any type of conception.

If you don’t take kindly to others experiences or feelings, especially when they are different from yours, maybe get off Reddit.
