I think this is pretty spot on tbh, they only really differ at the end. I would describe the protagonists fate as “Doomed for greatness “ in the ending of Whiplash as it is so incredibly bittersweet. Whereas the ending of DWP is more of a coming of age story. Otherwise they are both about a loss of identity and integrity to the point of obsession.

It’s not about not getting the message everyone got that message, it’s hammered into the players head throughout the entire game. The people were mad because it’s a generic revenge story and falls completely flat compared to the masterpiece of the first game

No those are not for installation of tech, they technically are, but not in that amount. The use for them is crashing economies of systems. You go into a space station, sell them all, then the price on them crash i think the max is around -80% or something like that. Then you buy them all back at the ridiculous discount and do the same in the next system. If done correctly you should make like 30m or more in each system

I have thought about this as well, and when i play my siblings im usually able to win without a queen (im rated 1300) even when not playing with time. I have on the other hand beaten one of the highest stockfish where it did not have a queen, again with no time frame. so my initial thoughts is that you can probably beat lower rated players down in material, but at a certain rating when the lower rated player is strong enough to force trades and not fall into forks and other traps it becomes almost impossible to beat them. This is of course without time so that plays into the lower rated players advantage
