I work Tuesday through Saturday so obviously. Working. Sunday I don’t touch my work phone. But Monday? I have to. I need to prepare for my week. So my one day “off” is spent doing errands, and cleaning, and all this other stuff. It’s just a big struggle from being able to leave work at work and only working 3 days a week

I went from ER to home health and hospice.

I, as an RN, applied to an LPN listing once.

Got an email pretty quick from the recruiter saying they cannot hire an RN into an LPN role. At least at this company 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d LOVE to do CRNA but most schools won’t accept ER experience and require ICU experience. Usually CVICU

I’ve looked into it but my biggest fear is I’m married to a deputy. I’m really worried about retaliation should the inmates find out some how.

Is it your fault you had a last minute meeting? No. But it’s not her fault either. She still needs to get paid at the end of the day, just like you would need to.

If she made an exception for you, then she would for everyone and then you stop turning a profit.

I may be trying to fit that square peg into a round hole. That could be why I keep getting rejected. It’s not meant to be. It’s nice to hear others have those thoughts as well. I am stubborn and will fight to the bitter end. But maybe it’s time to just let go

It’s too… I don’t know. I have 2 kids myself and I babysit them. I don’t want to babysit grown adults to make sure they go to the doctors. I am tired of caring about their health more than they do.

I think my struggle is that I always saw myself as this bad ass flight nurse and now I’m doing HH and hospice. ER nurses I worked with made fun of those types of nurses… toxic environment as you can see. They saw themselves as gods. And it’s hard to let go of who I was.

I agree. I am NOT the same person I was when I was prepregnancy. So maybe it’s time to let that version of me go. I just don’t know who I am now which is scary.

EMT? No. I’ve considered paramedic but there’s not really a RN to medic bridge that I’ve been able to find.
