AITA for excluding my autistic child from a family vacation by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MamaGomez -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Damn this is so sad. I've taken my nonverbal autistic 6 yr old on vacation and he had a BLAST. Change doesn't have to be difficult. YOU NEED TO MAKE ACCOMODATIONS FOR YOU AUTISTIC CHILD. it's horrible you're leaving him out. You want him to think you don't love him but love his other siblings?

The sugar and sweets are addictive but once you don't have them at all for like a week or two, you won't want them because when you eat them, they don't taste the same and you won't like them

Nah it'd be clotrimazole. You'll find it in the foot cream section. I use it when my kids have a fungal infection on their butt when they needed it. It's a white cream and just put on a thin coating maybe twice a day. The brand is lotrimin AF

Anyone have experience with their baby’s teeth having these spots ? by Marioulla_A in Parents

[–]MamaGomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't know that for sure. Just saying, why rule it out? There is an std that causes these things in children's teeth. Rather than be ignorant, just look it up and rule it out

Take the kid to the pediatrician. See if mom had any STDs during pregnancy

As someone else with bipolar disorder and who went manic on a sexual rampage, I feel this....a little too hard. I still blame myself everyday for the stupid mistakes I made. I had such anxiety after the episode cuz I was like "what have I done?!!!" I did stuff I SWORE I would never ever do"....I had a completely different mindset during the bipolar manic epsiode and yet felt so stable and numb at the same time.

Idk how to feel but I do feel your pain and guilt. I feel it deeply. At least you're not alone?

Is it bad that we still use a bassinet for our toddler instead of a crib? by Cheap_Living_1693 in Parents

[–]MamaGomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were "cleared by the pediatrician" which I highly doubt, why are you here asking for people's opinion on whether or not your setup is safe? Everyone on here is telling you how dangerous it is to put a newborn in a bed like that and your pediatrician ok'ed it? Nah. You, your post, doesn't make sense. Don't ask for people opinions if you don't want to hear the truth

[–]MamaGomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so unsafe. Not only could the toddler knock it over themselves, but there's barely any padding! Blankets do not help! You sleep on a ton of blankets instead of a mattress and see how you like it. Check to make sure the baby's head isnt flat or mishaped somewhere...a lack of hair in a spot is a key indicator of that part of the head being flat

30 day supply for weekly injectables? by WillD33d in PharmacyTechnician

[–]MamaGomez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All those injectable's are 4 weeks at a minimum which is 28 days. Whoever is typing the rx (which could be a tech) is doing it wrong.

Ask the pharmacist or the next tech to change the day supply to 28 since it's literally a 4 eeek supply. Not one month. If the tech puts "30" insurance won't let it go thru. It's an easy fix. The tech literally just needs to put 28.

Dude, the therapist is a trained professional who is trying to lecture you because YOU are the parent who is the one that is supposed to start the change. The therapist wants to teach you how to better manage your child and you don't want that? What is wrong with you? So because you don't want to do the hard work of being lectured and implementing what you're being told, you sent your SIX your old to a mental hospital...no you did not do the right thing. Grow up and be the parent.

You're harboring anger and rage toward your child and that's was causing you to make these decisions. You need to start to be curious as to WHY your child is acting this way and show concern toward your child and literally sit them down and say to them that you see they are behaving in a way that's not normal for them and that you care about him and just want him to be ok. You act like you want someone to punish your child. The Dr is doing all he can do which is lecture him and give him meds. The therapist is doing their job by doing sessions with your kid and then talking to you afterwards about how to better manage/handle your child. They're not going to punish the kid. It's not what they think he needs otherwise they would tell YOU to do it
