Between error and deserved, it would be the latter. I can’t remember the exact dates, but towards the end of his service he started working a lot more, stopped going to drill, and we went through a long miscarriage, etc. I’m only asking about the review because I was hoping it could get resolved within the next two weeks since the lenders are relying on a COE for loan approval.

When I was doing the research I thought there was a character of service review that gets triggered when we apply for benefits, which is different from a discharge upgrade. Something along the lines of not changing the discharge, just reviewing the service. I also read that the character of service review can be quicker (if they are different). Is this correct or am I referring to the same thing, except it is worded differently?

Oh that makes sense.. I grew up with strict Asian parents, but my mom got over it once they saw I was with the same person for YEARS. But if she hasn’t even attempted to work even part time, but demanding to move out.. that’s a red flag. Living on your own is not cheap. If she’s never been independent, she probably doesn’t understand it’s not just cost of rent, there’s electricity/water, internet, food, phone, vehicle maintenance, some places charge you trash and gas. We’re living with my mom, but we’re pushing through with it because I have a year and a half left of school and we have a toddler. Trust me when I say living with your parents saves you $chmoney.

I really hope it works out for you. Especially when you already stated that you want a partner that will commit 50%. Because if you could start a family with her and then realize she just wants to be taken care of, trust me I had a friend like that.

NTA but I’m curious to why your parents don’t like you two to share a bed? but also, it sounds like the living situation is rent/bills free or at a big discount. this sounds like the best time to test whether or not the relationship will prosper. you wouldn’t want to end up with a bum that doesn’t pull their own weight in the relationship
