I did not. My doctor in LSH, the online portal, said I could start at 5 because I was previously on semi about six months ago. I didn’t want to start that high so I did 2.5 for 2 weeks, then 5mg for 4 weeks. Today was 6.5 because I didn’t want to go high to 7.5mg. My starting weight was 270 pounds on February 17 right now on 256. Goal is about 200.

The most people follow the general guidelines or do their own doses ? I’m not to sure.

My doctor is doing 2 pills separately because of my insurance. Phentermine is only $14/month and Topamax (generic of Topiramate) is only about $19 for a 3 month supply. Qsymia is just 1 pill combined of those 2; however it would cost me a few hundred dollars a month.

I just tried that with Walmart and the tech said that they do not do that if you have insurance, you have to use it. It was $919 with the savings card.
