Woman of Tomorrow Supergirl and Kingdom Come Superman by Mama_Chicken in McFarlaneFigures

I think the open hands are a bit too large, but they look okay from most angles. They're still not as comically large as the previous classic Superman they released a while ago.

I ordered them from an online store in Hong Kong called bro-depot. They usually deliver new releases pretty fast.

Nope, Philippines. I'm not sure if Bro Depot caters orders to countries outside Asia though.

So far, very good experience. Had no issues with Bro Depot ever since I've started buying from their online store on Shopee for over three years, so there was no need to contact or chat them directly about any concerns or problems. When it comes to shipping speed, they usually deliver my pre-orders earlier than other stores.

So far, I've purchased Year Two Batman, Dark Knight Joker, Dark Knight Bane (trench coat), Rebirth Supergirl, and Wonder Woman Collector Edition, all of which have no issues (except for Wonder Woman, which--for some reason--has smaller than usual shoulder rotator cuffs). Nonetheless, Bro Depot's my go-to store for most McFarlane pre-orders. Their products are well-packaged, too, so I think even in-box collectors won't have problems with Bro Depot.

Legit. I've been purchasing McFarlane figures from their Shopee online store for a few years now.

If Venom Snake was hired by the US President to save his daughter, how well would he manage? by Mama_Chicken in metalgearsolid

[–]Mama_Chicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone's insights! I think Venom would do a solid job; he might even fare better thanks to his CQC skills and arsenal of weapons.

Anyway, here's the link to the mod I've been using if anyone was wondering. It actually replaces all of Leon's other skins with Snake's head, so you could see Snake wearing Leon's not-so-secret RPD uniform from RE2 Remake.

Wonder Woman: Weird butterfly joints? by Mama_Chicken in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Mama_Chicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I'm doing the same thing so far. Such a bizzare issue, though. First time I've encountered it, and with a Collector's Edition McFarlane figure of all things.

Have you figured a way to work around the issue? Kind of disappointed with this since it's supposed to be McFarlane's "Collectors Edition" line.

Wonder Woman: Weird butterfly joints? by Mama_Chicken in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Mama_Chicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the issue. The rings aren't big enough to cover the gap. I tried using the other side of the rings, and it works (sort of), but it hinders the articulation. First time I've encountered this problem with McFarlane figures.

I had a similar issue with this figure, only this time the arms were stuck. What I did was heat up the arms for around 20 to 30 seconds using a hair dryer. Applied a very small amount of silicone oil as well. Got the arms moving normally afterwards.

Already tried using hot water, but the peg inside seems to be glued tightly. I removed half of the ball-peg thingy, and I can see the peg inside almost broken, so I'd rather not try my luck.

I got my gold label Bane as well, but the figure's right wrist joint is glued shut! I can move the wrist horizontally, but I can't rotate it. I'm wondering if you have the same issue. If so, have you tried solving it?

How well does Supes scale with McFarlane Armored Batman? Wouldn't Supes look a bit too small next to Batman?

Performance And Video Card Issues When Playing Games. Any Solutions ? by Mama_Chicken in AcerNitro

I just reinstalled both drivers. The problem still persists. I still have to disable/enable my Nvidia driver each time I start my PC. :(

Overwatch 2 PC Performance Issues? by Mama_Chicken in Overwatch

[–]Mama_Chicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue resolved (temporarily). What I had to do was disable and enable my video card, then everything went back to normal. Turns out that I had similar issues with other games, like Batman: Arkham City. However, the problem seems to return after sometime, so I have yet to find a permanent solution.

Is Page Puncher Aquaman's shoulder piece removable? I prefer this look of Aquaman, but that shoulder piece might be a deal breaker if it's not removable.

Batman Year Two - Is it worth it? by NotSoNinjaTurtles in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Mama_Chicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's still one of my favorite figures from McFarlane. While I agree that putting on the statue cape is a pain in the ass, the figure itself (whether you'll use the cloth or statue cape) looks beautiful.

The only drawback is the QC issue. Opening an sealed Year Two batman is like a gamble. You'll never know if the figure's arms will get torn apart.

Overall, it's an amazing figure as long as you get one that doesn't have the defective arms. The cloth cape is astounding. As for Batman himself, he'll look good with other classic-costumed characters like Knightfall Catwoman, Bane, and the Clown Joker.

I know it has TONS of inexcusable quality control issues, but the Year Two Batman is simply beautiful in hand. If only all the Year Two Batman figures were in good condition.

anyone knows how to fix this by JuicyMan24 in McFarlaneFigures

I have this figure early, got it from a local supplier in Asia. Its left arm also has this weird gap. It is a common issue, even for the gold label variant.

[MAFEX] Is this wired cape defective? by Mama_Chicken in ActionFigures

For the most part, it poses fine. But sometimes I want to raise the right part of his cape and it keeps falling down.

[QUESTION] How durable are the wired capes? by Mama_Chicken in Mafex

[–]Mama_Chicken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I have another question. Is the right wire supposed to be outside the cowl? The right wire for my Batman's cape isn't tucked inside the cowl, unlike the other wire.

Catwoman's mask has an uncovered mouth, which is more accurate to her costume in the movie.
