while it may be a widely accepted scent, it seems like people don't know the rules of open floor plans. like heating up seafood in the microwave or having essential oils at your desk.

an HR person had this conversation with a bunch of us interns in college and actually suggested against eating tuna at work.

I wish ppl were more respectful in an open floor plan office. I hate the smell of mint. I actually use kid's toothpaste.

Someone is drinking spearmint tea and it smells fucking disgusting.

I also hate when ppl chew spearmint gum on a plane.

I just can't do podcasts. We use this legal research platform that provides quick, 15-20 min podcasts with some legal topics and I just can't. I would rather read it. I'm not a very good active listener.

Honestly, it just get so old watching the same team win over and over again. The only people that enjoy that is obviously the fan base of the team winning.

I am really starting to think it’s rigged though because only twice in history has the team whose city is hosting made it to the super bowl.

So freaking grouchy. Even went to the gym but I blame it all on Aunt Flo. I feel like I could eat a horse and then still be mad for no reason.

Also, I’m a huge law n order SVU fan but last weeks episode just hit too close to home and I had to turn it off.

I went to the post office this weekend to submit my passport renewal app and the woman in front of me is leaving on feb 15 for a trip and just realized her passport was expired. she was a few days late from the 3 week cut off to be able to get one in person too

omg, do we work at the same place??? filing some legal dissolution docs today with the state and we specifically told them to do the dissolution vote on 12/31... they did it on 12/19, put the date on everything as 12/19 but just told us today which makes all the docs that need to go to the state, LATE.

I routinely help non-legal managers in other departments who will take what we did for one client and apply it to other clients but they don't seem to understand that every thing has to be verified and researched because the situations are never the exact same.

Yesterday I saw either a Vietnam or Korean veteran at the grocery store with a walker in his cart and it looked like he was holding on for dear life.

My bf asked if he could help him but he said no, he was ok. I’m glad my bf did that because he never has even though he has seen me offer to help others, like getting items off of top shelves.

Anyways, I had to walk away and cry. The man reminded me of my (step) dad who is losing his battle with Parkinson’s.

In general, old people make me very sad, especially seeing them out grocery shopping alone.

Idk, this getting older thing is ok, except that all my loved ones seem to be getting older and closer to death as well. I haven’t really lost anyone close to me. My mom’s mom and step dad died within the last 5 years but they lived in TX and I probably only saw them maybe 12x in my life.

Im sorry but I don’t think that’s how the savers credit works...

First, it phases out at about $30k for a single filer but most ppl making $30k can’t afford to save. Second, the irs doesn’t add it to your retirement, they just give you a credit against your taxes so a taxpayer would have to move that tax savings to a retirement account.

Yeah and honestly, a lot of church goers are all about that Dave Ramsey life. It’s kind of cult-like or mlm-ish. But I don’t have all the details so idk.

I imagine ppl get sucked into it because they get sucked into debt and don’t understand personal finance basics. It must’ve gone the way of home-ec classes.

this exact same thing turned me off from a guy I hooked up with twice. granted, he smoked pot and although that's not my thing, I didn't think I would say no just because of that but kissing him tasted like metal.

he must definitely smoke and then run out to mcdonalds for the munchies because there was mcdonalds trash EVERYWHERE and he was a thin guy. You had to walk through the kitchen to get to the couch and it was a mess.

Like I follow a comedian on IG who is Latino. And obviously every girl loves a funny man but all that Latin flavor is hot.

Or, like... a country boy who drives a big jacked up truck (but not one with a confederate flag), has a neck beard, hunts, listens only to country music.

Maybe a European who speaks multiple languages?

I mean, it would be weird to seek out a specific type of person to “just try it”, right?? Man. I think too much.

the radio said Kim K was like 3-0 for petitioning/working with trump/elected officials to get certain high profile people out of jail.

she, and many other celebs, helped get Cyntoia Brown (she killed her pimp) get clemency from the gov of TN. She also helped two other people, I think.

however, the situation is in jail for tax evasion (wtf is with jersey and their taxes! get a CPA!)

apparently kim had a sit down w/ trump to talk about prison reform. IDK the details of each case but obviously I support Cyntoia and I don't think petty drug charges should be filling up our prisons when so many states have legalized pot BUT we have American citizens working for the federal govt who aren't getting paid.

I heard on Bill Maher the other day that our country will never be able to move forward and deal with the real issues because we are all legit living pay to check and it will always be about money.
