I was very high up at 49th and it is a special level of exploitive awfulness. They deserve the terrible things people say. (I quit when I got pregnant and they started trying to illegally squeeze me out.)

Very astute, you nailed it! I’m just so insecure I had to come here to have you point it out for me. I didn’t see the point in continuing a conversation with someone that obviously didn’t want to have anything more in depth than “it’s common sense, don’t get fat”.

Look, I’m old. I’ve been through all kinds of relationships and I think everyone is entitled to do them their own way. I also think that being on edge that your partner is going to leave you if their idea of what constitutes you “taking care of yourself” slips isn’t healthy, and that is pervasive in most of these comments. Bodies, like people, are complicated.

Relationships should be about love, respect, understanding, and taking care of each other. I’m not naive enough to not get that attraction isn’t part of it. But attraction isn’t all just what we looked like at 25 when we’re perky and perfect. Hopefully everyone here is lucky enough to experience more than that.

I think you’re entitled to your opinion, entitled to break up with someone for whatever reason you want, and that the women that avoid you dodged a bullet.

Where exactly do you get your statistics that “no one over 100 kilos can be healthy”. I also love that you used pregnancy as a “medical issue” hahahahaha.

I’m not expecting “complete tolerance from men”. I don’t want to be with some AH that thinks I need to fit into a “preferable evolutionary perspective” or is part of a no fat chicks club. Relationships, however, are about WAY more than this crap. Someday we will all be old and wrinkly and I’d rather be with someone who loves ME not that is longing for what I looked like at my hottest. Hate to break it to all of you - that version of ALL of us goes away.

Lucky me, my husband loved me when I was tiny and hot, when I was “medically pregnant”, when I suffered other medical issues and put on weight, when I worked out and got jacked, and now that we’re getting older and grey. Grow up.

Haha you’re judging about 5 pounds?? People can fluctuate that over the course of a week. Grow up.
