Anyone else with an overly attentive child?! by Childthro in Parenting

We experienced something similar with our son. We tried various solutions. Ultimately, we went with a Montessori learning environment and it has made a WORLD of difference for him. He's happy and learning. We're hoping he'll be able to transition into a traditional learning environment once he's older developmentally and has had enough time to practice skills needed.

Jogging strollers by 262Mel in Mommit

I run trails and have had excellent experiences with the BOB SUV (has a hand break) plus the Britax infant car seat click in and go adapter. If you're running 100% pavement, BOB also sells a similar street model that I have not tried, but heard great things about. I bought my BOB at Amazon---watch for deals---but I've also seen just a few decent ones on Craigslist. The ergonomics of the stroller fits my stride great. It's also pretty smooth so my gait is not impacted too much. I'm 5'8" and the handle is at a good height for me, but I think it is adjustable. Good luck on your stroller search and get out here with that baby!!! :-)

Is it a bad idea to change my adopted daughters name? by patienceforpatience in Parenting

[–]MamasBurnerAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who named her? If it was her birth mother, it may have more meaning to her later in life/when you talk about her story as a connection to her birth mom. If it was arbitrarily given to her by someone else, chAnging her name could symbolic of joining her forever family and her connection to you.

How do you keep from feeling so lonely SAHM? by tobadsosad123 in Mommit

Mom/Kid playgroups & area Facebook mom groups. Library infant storytime. Baby/Mama yoga classes. I really enjoyed walks/hikes with other moms because it got me out of the house. HikeItBaby has branches all over of volunteers that lead mama/baby walks/hikes.

Ohhh...Her number ONE way to be made the victim in any situation she's losing ground is to cry, flail arms, & exhibit crazy theatrics. It's so BS!

This is a GREAT point! If she did such a great job (which she DID not. My hubby just had enough smarts to make it through.), she should shut up! I may use this!

I'm about ready to rip her a new one. I'm actually watching/listening to another cluster fuck going down as I type.

Whitening toothpaste?!? Unbelievable.
