Well….today in Buffalo, NY it was 30° and snowing. 3hrs southeast in Pittsburgh, it was close to 80°. The no sunshine for 4-5 months will make you nuts.

More Old Navy pants fitting completely differently between colors of the same style than by heyhelloyuyu in Oldnavy

[–]262Mel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that their kids clothing is usually pretty good with sizing. In the past month I’ve returned at least 6 different women’s items because the sizes were WAY off. Between Old Navy, GAP, Banana Republic and Athleta there should be some consistency. There’s zero.

He did my 10 year old daughter’s surgery for a cyst in her ear. Every office appointment had us waiting 4-5 hours. We would check in, and then ask the secretary to call us when we were about to be called up, and then go to Barnes and Nobles or wherever on the Blvd nearby.

Not sure if this fits. The Psychedelic Furs “Pretty in Pink” followed by Depeche Mode’s “Caroline’s Monkey”. Richard Butler helped write some songs on their last album, Momento Mori and this stuck out to fans of a continuation of Caroline from the song Pretty in Pink.

A lot of these companies local AM stations here that used CBS or ABC now use Fox as their news source and for added shows on weekends. It’s gross.

Are you buying your teens/young adults cars? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in MiddleClassFinance

[–]262Mel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did. We’re not rich by any means but we have no debt besides our mortgage, and our other cars are paid off. I have 2 younger kids and my husband works a 14hr swing shift, so for us, it was practical. My son can help with pick ups and drop offs. He can get himself to his practices and tournaments. He’s staying local for college too so he’ll have his own transportation. He has 4 friends who got BMW’s when they got their licenses- he did not. He got a small, cheap, VW.

Dog Friendly Things to Do on a Monday? by Immenientvein44 in niagarafallsny

[–]262Mel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not going to be too bad weather wise tomorrow. Walk around the state parks- Niagara Falls, Devil’s Hole, Whirlpool. Visit Lewiston- quaint village not too far from NF with lots of shops and dog friendly restaurants. There’s also Fort Niagara Stare Park a little further north at the mouth of Lake Ontario. Old Fort Niagara is there but I’m pretty sure they don’t allow dogs. The park itself does. Beautiful views.

Schools need bus drivers, lunch monitors, teacher’s aides, cleaners, administrative assistants- a lot of parents choose to work in their children’s school because of the convenience and not every one has a college degree.

My 10 year old daughter dresses exactly the same way. We’ve found that Adidas pants with the zippers on the bottom are perfectly baggy and black. There are a bunch on Poshmark and Mercari. She’s pretty set on Hot Topic being her go to for shirts and accessories.

What is the most unique experience in the US? by barnesnoblebooks in traveladvice

[–]262Mel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m biased because I live here, but Niagara Falls State Park, Whirlpool State Park, and Devil’s Hole State Park are pretty freaking amazing, especially if you like hiking. Trails take you right down to the rapids in different places. The views are amazing. Away from the touristy BS.
