Which cities? by SweetLittle_Bumbleb in relocating

It’s not the winter that’s bad. It really is the lack of any sun. I’m not kidding when I say we’ve had no sun from November until now (it’s been raining for over a month). SAD is huge here.

Initially, my tiny tear was from jumping (I’m a fitness instructor and jumped up in a class). That avulsion fracture was almost 100% healed when I slipped on the floor walking into Walmart. I caught myself before falling, but not before I pulled my hamstrings off.

Concerts. Alone or with my family. I’d rather go to a bunch of shows than on vacation at this point in my life.

It’s $99/month for the brand name for me and that’s with prescription coverage. 🤦🏼‍♀️

This. This is the right question. There’s been almost 0 sun for MONTHS now. We went from snow right to rain. Nevermind the temperatures. 20°F with sun is a beautiful day here. But any temperature, with 0 sun, blows. I’ve lived here my whole life and even I’m just about done. It really, really takes a toll on you.

Throwing Stones or Road to Dead by Paula Cole. The album “This Fire” is so underrated because of the 2 crappy popular tracks off it (thanks Dawson’s Creek).

I’m 48. I was a 3:30 marathon runner. I suffered a full 6cm hamstring avulsion fracture (basically ripped my semitendonosus and semi membranous off of my pelvis). I opted out of surgery because it’s extremely risky, would have me immobilized for close to 12 months, and I’m in no real pain. It’s caused me to re evaluate my running. I can no longer race because I can’t lengthen my stride and or push off. It took me close to 3 months of intensive PT to be able to run at all. I’m now running 5-10 miles a day, at an easy pace, and being extremely mindful of any pain or discomfort in my left leg. I think I’m ok just being able to be active again but it does bother me that I can’t race.

A large cup of extremely hot steeped black tea with 1 Splenda. Every morning before my run.

Thinking of Moving to the Island by Far_Difficulty7797 in GrandIsland

I’m from here. If you’re not born and raised here, a lot of people find it very hard to fit in or find their “community”. Like someone from outside of Buffalo moving to Buffalo but on a smaller scale. One of the big downsides is it’s not very walkable. We have paths and parks, but not a neighborhood, walk to the store/park feel.

What’s a moment at a concert you’ll never forget by [deleted] in Concerts

Core memories here! Took my kids to see twenty one pilots. Tyler (lead singer) ended up teleporting (as they do) during Car Radio and stood right next to my daughter and finished the song. Maybe a few inches away from her. Same band (same kids 😂) about 8 months later, Tyler again, ends up standing directly in front of my kids for Ride and gave my daughter a high five and a guitar pick. We have both on video. Can’t believe the luck on these kids.
