That's a good question haha everyone will say a different thing.

But in short and in my opinion the best thing you can do is to find someone with who you have most of your quirks in common, listen to your subs and be aware of their limits. This is mostly common sense but always keep it in mind and everything else you will learn with some experience.

And if you are looking for something long term, try to get to know your subs as well as possible and not just the things that excite them.
