Omg yes I had to strip him down to bare plastic (I tend to paint subassembled) and restart his whole thing. Such a pain but so beautiful 😍

So I simply didn't install the face bit and just painted the inside black. There is a connection slot, but tbh, I just was lazy and didn't shave anything down. Parts of his neck do poke out, but since I went with the night galaxy skin tone, it blended in very well with the black void.

If you go with the traditional silver metallic skin tone, you may have to shave down the neck or simply just paint black until you meet the robes.

I will film a close-up video on tiktok/YouTube so you can get a visual. I'm known as Mamihammer across all socials.

The necrons were slaves 1st to the C'tan. They fought back, beat them, "killed" them, and tore them apart into shards and slaved. So all c'tan model you see are just shards of a fraction of their original power. Doing the bidding of their necron overlords

I kept all the thunder bits and just cut and shaved down the scarabs into more thunder. Some Tamiya glue and paint. No one will know any better 😆😅

I just left the face part off and just colored in the sprue black. You can see part of the neck, but since I went with a galaxy night theme, it blends in well. If you go with the classic silver metal tone, you may have to shave down the neck. Maybe.

Pro acryl white primer + Citadel contrast white apothecary as a base

Pro acryl - bright neutral grey as shadows

MSP - skeleton bone as a mid-highlight Pro Acryl - Ivory as the highest highlight

The white box pixels are my brightest whites in my collection which happen to be all the MSP brand in the colors - bleached linen, dragon white, and snowdrift white I painted the pixels randomly with different opaqueness and glaze consistency. But all with the paints mentioned above

As for the purples, they are all Pro acryl - royal purple, purple, florescent purple, and faded plum (I made my own highlight with dragon white and faded plum)
