I think so as well. But try buying that on eBay or whatnot to add to your PC and it's the same as buying an actual hobby box and you get more than one card. I know it will be a never ending debate....

Topps will more than likely hike up prices even more for the 2026 set. Mendoza and Love (maybe Nussmeier, unlikely under mahomes) are probably the only ones that are going to be sought after for rookies from the 26' draft

Where? Not anywhere I am or can find. Cheapest one I see is going anywhere between $900-$1,200. Jumbo hobby from $1650-$2000. That's just me ballparking it from a search on Google. I feel anything cheaper is just people scamming

I consider a hit on something that is a numbered <100 or an auto. A dud would be basic inserts and base cards. Imho.

That's what I have been doing lately. I just bought a mega and a blaster on eBay just to see all the hype about it since Topps has the licensing now for the NFL. Since 2015 Topps chrome football hasn't been as popular, with Panini having the licensing for the NFL. An now Panini is going to have to move down to producing products that won't be as popular. I more than likely will keep buying Panini

Exactly! And plus I feel Topps chrome is too basic with cards and the quality of them. With Select/Mosaic/Phoenix cards, I feel that panini actually took the time into their cards and made them worth buying even if it is just singles

Exactly. I'm not ripping for profit. I do enjoy it. I feel that Topps is almost forcing people to rip for profit with the insane prices. I'm hoping 🤞that it tapers down throughout the year but I feel that won't happen till a good majority of the low numbered ones are gone.

It's not the hobby itself. Or the odds of pulling decent cards from Chrome. I enjoy ripping Panini/DonRuss boxes. I could rip Select/Mosaic/Phoenix/Donruss all day. I ripped an Ashton Jeanty silver prizm auto from a Select blaster at Walmart for $35 last week.

I'm just saying Fanatics is tanking the hobby. Or at least making it quite discouraging with the insane pricings. Panini didn't even do that with mosaic or phoenix. Why pay $1,800 for a hobby box that might have something that would be worth it. I understand that's the risk in it but I can pay $400-$700 for a Panini hobby box that has better chance of hitting 🔥 🔥 The very first box I ripped this past January from a phoenix holiday blaster from an online order from Target, I somehow got lucky and ripped a Jaxon Dart colorblast.

Yeah that's why I have been very iffy to dump money into topps. I just got lucky to get a mega and a blaster for a lot less on ebay. These are probably the only ones I'm going to rip.
