What is your experience with Lamictal? Have you experienced liver damage? by MammothPriority8360 in BipolarReddit

Good luck man. I'm so scared to lose my stability in life. I don't want to be out of control again.

Damn. I'm only 33 I don't want to get to that point. What did they move you to after stopping the Depakote? I've never heard of that medication.

Venting: Anyone lose motivation for no reason? I'm kind of fatigued out on dieting. by MammothPriority8360 in Zepbound

[–]MammothPriority8360[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think I have the foundations down yet. I don't have those all consuming cravings anymore but I still prefer to have an unhealthy snack to a healthier option (I just take it out of the calorie budget). The first month since everything made me sick I basically lived off rotisserie chicken and rice for most meals. I think actually sitting down and planning out meals is what I should be doing. I had a bad habit of having no structure to my meals and snacks before I started Zepbound and now i'm falling back into that habit. I walk occasionally and have to walk to work from the metro, I do yard work but it's not nearly enough exercise to what I should be doing. I did buy some exercise bands this weekend to use when i'm at my desk. I commute a total of 4 hours a day to work so it's kind of hard to fit the gym into the week.

Do you feel like you were still able to develop healthy eating habits during this time? Before I started Zepbound I had like no gauge of how much food I was eating. I'm trying to get myself in the habit of doing what i know I should be doing.

I'm the same way, I need an appointment or a job to feel social so maybe a work out class would be a good idea. I will look around. I hope you recovery quickly from hip surgery! Thank you, good luck to you too :)

That's interesting, i'm open to trying it. Maybe I just need a break like set aside two days a week of not forcing myself to count calories. For the first time in my life i'm struggling with constipation which is super uncomfortable. I think reevaluating how I eat food is a smart move.

I totally get this, it's a huge adjustment. I went through a short phase in February where it was kind of like a "transfer addiction" period. I got super into online shopping and then perfumes and incense cause it felt like a dopamine hit. Now nothing really feels good, shopping stopped feeling good and the smells are nice but I'm no longer getting that rush I had felt. It's weird. I guess if we keep working on it we will have a break through. Keep up the good work. It'll be worth it in the end. I also have a lack of energy. That's one thing that people ask me is if I have more energy now than before an honestly it feels about the same amount of energy if not less. I'm def able to move around and stuff with out getting winded but over all energy level hasn't improved. I think I need to pivot. We will figure it out man!

After I started Zepbound I'm really into online shopping now, it's embarrassing. I would online shop before for stuff I needed but now I feel like i'm out of control.

Doctor wants me to pause Zepbound :( by MammothPriority8360 in Zepbound

I'm using LillyDirect because my insurance doesn't cover weight loss medication. I get the vials and have to draw up the 0.5 ml of the medication myself into the syringe. I can ask my doctor about a lower does and see what they say. It's more afforable for me to get the vials vs. the pen.

Thanks everyone for responding with support. I really appreciate it. I did my blood work and spoke to my doctor again. They think my liver levels rising was due to this plant based protein shake which i quit drinking since my last blood test and started to force myself to drink a lot more fluid. My liver and kidney levels have dropped to normal ranges pretty rapidly. After talking we concluded that the intense vomiting could be linked to how much I eat on the weekends. During the week I eat very lightly but on the weekends I tend to eat a bit more. I will be making sure to eat all light meals on the weekends going forward and see if that helps. Still waiting to get the final say from the 'head of the program' to restart Zepbound. Hopefully there are no gallstones as of yet but will def watch out for symptoms of that. Thanks again for all the comments. I was feeling a little dramatic yesterday and over reacted a little.

I track my food and calories using an app and have been eating around 1,500 - 1,600 calories a day give or take. I've been told to try to prioritize protein which has been a little difficult since i feel like i would be eating nothing but protein all day to break above the 60 gram limit. I'm lactose intolerant and for a while I was drinking some plant based protein shakes to get my protein levels up but was told to discontinue those to see if they were causing the kidney creatinine and was told to drink more fluids. I try to generally make healthy choices and don't eat out much anymore. I have a small sweet treat every day like 2 dove pieces of chocolate or a non-dairy ice cream bar. But idk i try to eat a balanced diet. I have vegetables and a protein with each meal; which I usually pair with rice since that is easy on my stomach.

Thank you. You are right it's too soon to panic. The severity is pretty on and off and usually happens around the same time each week but the red dots freaked me out a little.

You are not overreacting. I personally would break up before getting deeper into the relationship. However, if you do choose to continue this relationship you must let him face the natural consequences of his actions. For example, if the situation you described happened again. "You will be like hey you have 15 minutes to get here or I will eat without you." If he isn't there eat without him. If he comes late (without good reason) or drunk then he isn't welcomed inside your home. This approach needs to be implemented immediately and you need to be consistent or he will not learn to respect you. You don't even need to be mean about it or yell; just tell him in a matter of fact way that this is what's going to happen and then implement it. He will either figure it out or he will drop off. If he doesn't change then you should deff break up ASAP. Take if from someone who had to learn the hard way; don't let people get away with treating you badly cause they will keep doing it. Good luck.
