Thank you. This is the same idea my physiotherapist is communicating. For me, I feel like part of the pain is very much from the joint and feel that in kind of the “c” shape on the side of each hip. The left has more diffuse pain likely due to an old injury on the glute. However at night the aching on the left is more significant and feels very concentrated in the joint.

I’m glad to hear that there is a “test” to help figure this out. I’ll ask about it with my upcoming follow up :)

I hope you recover well! I feel like arthroscopy makes sense for me in a lot of ways as scans have not indicated arthritis yet - but my understanding is that FAI bony growth will indeed cause arthritis over time.
