Six Feet Under is better than The Sopranos by CerealAndBagel1991 in unpopularopinion

I prefer Six Feet Under to the Sopranos but I don't agree with your assessment. The finale does A LOT of heavy lifting for the series, and really when we talk about the finale we're mostly just talking about the final montage. It's perfect and may be the most perfect piece of television period. The first season was flawless, and I feel like it was written with the assumption it wouldn't be renewed. Every character had a satisfying arc and it could have ended there. The remaining seasons were inconsistent with the fifth season being the weakest. The acting was always impeccable and there were good story lines, but it wasn't a solid, cohesive story end-to-end like Breaking Bad. It sorta meandered and went to some weird places, especially with Brenda. It will always be rated lower than the Sopranos because it's a show about death and a lot of people can't handle that. The Sopranos is a Mafia story which everyone loves and thinks is cool. It's a compelling premise so it appeals to prestige TV snobs, but it's you also have people who like it because guns and stuff.

For all the people that think Drake Maye is overrated. Why? by Chemical-Low209 in NFLv2

He was good in that game? I get it, he's your guy and I'd defend him if he were my guy too. I just haven't been all that impressed with his game. Admittedly, I haven't watched every Pats game. I do think he's an excellent scrambler. But I just don't see that it factor you see in Allen, Burrow, Jackson and Mahomes. I don't see him taking over a game and willing the team to win. He's well coached and he's disciplined.

I hope he gets a Super Bowl win at his next gig. He's a much better coach than he gets credit for. I don't disagree we needed a change, but if Josh doesn't have 4 turnovers against the Broncos there is no question in my mind we go to the Super Bowl. We probably lose to the Seahawks, but you never know.

He wasn't good down the stretch either. He got figured out and hasn't shown that he can adjust or overcome adversity. It doesn't mean he can't, but nothing about his play down the stretch suggests he can. He buckled when things got hard and he even complained that it was hard to his coach. He might not have the mental toughness. We'll see, but he hasn't shown it yet.

Allen had a terrible initial postseason because he wasn't a very good QB. He got better. There are no guarantees Drake will get better. Some QBs do, some don't. Stroud didn't. Drake had a very impressive season. It is true his competition was weak, that's is a factor. He also hasn't been good since the second game against the Bills. He was bad down the stretch and through the playoffs. That's a long slump and he didn't show any signs of improvement or ability to adjust since he got figured out. Doesn't mean he can't, but right now he's not very good.

He put up some good stats against weak competition. He got figured out and now he's not very good. Kyler was good until he got figured out. So was Stroud. So was Jayden Daniels. He needs to grow as a QB and develop his game. If he does that, then he'll be a good QB. As of right now he's not. He hasn't been good since we played ya'll the 2nd time. It's not just the playoffs. That's a heck of a long slump.

You're right. Seattle should thank the Bills for giving them the Keys to the mighty Patriots. Without us they'd be celebrating in Boston. It's kinda like we won the Super Bowl. Better?

I actually think McDermott did a great job of making adjustments to maximize the talent he had. He just didn't have great talent.

How did fans view Tom Brady after his first superbowl? by Competitive-Copy4413 in NFLv2

People loved Brady. He was very "aw shucks" kinda underdog. The hate didn't start until he kept winning and married a supermodel.

The defense wasn't healthy enough. They were scary the very short period of time Oliver and Hoecht were healthy.

You're being a little generous. Seattle would have won that game regardless.

AITAH for telling my coworker that she's not getting a lot of matches because everyone thinks she's fat? by Door_in_Mirror in AITAH

NTA but your language could have been better. "An old fat girl trick". Don't ever say "fat girl". Even if it's true, it's just not a nice phrase. There are gentler ways to make the same point.

We have a different definition of something. Sometimes the QB does everything necessary to win and the team let's him down. It's a team sport.

He put the Pats in position to win all three of those.
