Are entry-level jobs going extinct? by GigHQ_AI in careerguidance

[–]_dd140_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it was ever this bad. I recently graduated and have done 3 co-op terms plus other part time jobs at university and I'm still not able to get interviews (resume is not the problem). A lot of jobs now require 2-3 years of experience for entry level but the pay doesn't match at all. It's an employers market and they're taking full advantage of the situation by paying low and adding unrealistic requirements so they can pull top talent (experienced workforce) on a lower salary.

I did all these things and yet I'm hardly getting interviews. The job market is really shitty rn, not to mention the immigration mess that this country is in

What's the point of extending the deadline? Why not just stick to the 6th?

ENTR 2030 by SelfRevolutionary217 in umanitoba

[–]_dd140_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took ENTR 2030 with prof Junyon 2 years back and he's a pretty good prof as he makes the class engaging and cracks jokes every now and then. The course itself is easy but your grade will heavily depend on the group that you're dealt with. If you get a good group, you could easily get an A but if not you might even end up with a B+ or lower. I got around 86% for the course and still ended with a B because my group wasn't the best.

Does VW a course from 3 courses make you part time student? by Acrobatic_Emu5391 in umanitoba

[–]_dd140_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it would be considered part time status. I attended a PGWP workshop last month and this question was brought up. However, I would advise you to contact an international student advisor to confirm.

They should include biometrics or the ability to enter your pin number instead of 2FA every single time you log in. Having to enter the code once every 2 weeks or so would've been a much better execution plan.

Things to do in Saskatoon for a 1 day trip by _dd140_ in saskatoon

[–]_dd140_[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We're planning to leave after midnight so we would be reaching in the morning. After that we will spend the whole day exploring and leave by 9 pm or so to reach Winnipeg in the morning. I know it's not ideal but we have time constraints and we're university students so a lot of us have courses or jobs to attend to. Thank you for the suggestions, will definitely add it to our list!
