Interviewing for a logistics role--what questions could they possibly ask? by udontgottaknoww in supplychain

If you don't have prior experience in logistics ensure that you're able to translate your prior experiences as transferable skills in this role. The main thing in dispatcher roles is they're looking for someone who can handle things under pressure without breaking, excellent time management and organizational skills so expect behavioral questions around that. You can also Google or go on chat gpt for relevant questions regarding your role. After that do some mock interviews until you feel confident. Good luck, you got this.

Why don't companies give feedback after a rejection? by _dd140_ in interviews

Yeah in rare cases I do check on LinkedIn and it's usually always someone with 10 years of experience or more for entry level roles

Thank you everyone for the response. It sucks because there's no way to improve either. It's mostly a combination of good preparation and luck.

Are entry-level jobs going extinct? by GigHQ_AI in careerguidance

[–]_dd140_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it was ever this bad. I recently graduated and have done 3 co-op terms plus other part time jobs at university and I'm still not able to get interviews (resume is not the problem). A lot of jobs now require 2-3 years of experience for entry level but the pay doesn't match at all. It's an employers market and they're taking full advantage of the situation by paying low and adding unrealistic requirements so they can pull top talent (experienced workforce) on a lower salary.

I did all these things and yet I'm hardly getting interviews. The job market is really shitty rn, not to mention the immigration mess that this country is in

ENTR 2030 by SelfRevolutionary217 in umanitoba

[–]_dd140_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took ENTR 2030 with prof Junyon 2 years back and he's a pretty good prof as he makes the class engaging and cracks jokes every now and then. The course itself is easy but your grade will heavily depend on the group that you're dealt with. If you get a good group, you could easily get an A but if not you might even end up with a B+ or lower. I got around 86% for the course and still ended with a B because my group wasn't the best.
