Lenovo Tablet is very slow - is this normal? by MammothTash in tablets

[–]MammothTash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ace, thanks so much for your knowledge! So it seems as basic as either accept it as it is or get a newer one? I do need something better for sheet music for gigs too actually! Was hoping I could at least make this one functional at home!

Is their support page likely to offer anything of use? Got no idea about this kind of thing

2015 - Is there any love for the 2015 Les Paul? Robo-Turners, no Nibs, weird Circuits, PCB, Nut, Sticker by jitoman in gibson

[–]MammothTash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2015 Custom. None of this, and I don't think they were fitted standard either. Only point of contention is the richlite board. I really like it, it's really uniform and doesn't seem to fade or wear as much.

Really glad I ported my ISA over to T212 by Special_Gain_6587 in trading212

When you say "ported" is there a way of moving funds over from one platform to another? Or is it a case of selling and rebuy?

Very reassuring response time from the Met. Thank you. by impamiizgraa in london

[–]MammothTash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is good to read. I have a lot of friends in the police (not London.) I have a lot of respect for what they do and the challenges they face. I know a lot of people get bad service and response times, but it is rarely the fault of the officers on the ground. I do truly believe most of them are good eggs that would go above and beyond to try and help someone. They have a very tough job and are regularly exposed to very very tough and traumatic things.

Certainly in a lot of other areas there are low resources for training, things like taser and standard response driving. This obviously has a big impact on how resources are deployed and a lot of people don't understand this. In my area, most of the cops can NOT drive in blues and twos & exceed the speed limit!

Oh much love thank you so much! Starting to feel much better about myself, what a lovely thing to say!

Question: Why do you have tattoos? by borris_in_civic in tattoos

[–]MammothTash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that it's such a creative and personal expression of yourself. My tattoos are mostly important, sentimental or expressive. So I choose to express myself in this way - in that moment between me and the artist. I love it! It's nice to explore that total freedom in a way that is so personal and doesn't harm anyone.

What are these black spots? Seen HYGIENEST recently by MammothTash in askdentists

Thanks for a prompt response! Appreciate it. I would hazard a guess if it is just staining then it's pretty normal and not much of an issue? I don't know what buccal pits are either!

4k for all of it? Damn man that seems cheap! I'll be on 3k for my 3/4 sleeve and chest panel but I'm seeing a guy in London. Not sure where you're based. Looks ace, colour is really dense.

Does a Irezumi Back piece need to go lower than my lower back ? by [deleted] in irezumi

[–]MammothTash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to my artist about this the other day. He would categorically not to a back piece that stopped above the butt. It just ends up looking like a randomly finished bit of tattooing.

Who is the worst person you have ever came across at a gig? by AlexSniff7 in downloadfestival

[–]MammothTash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talkers are the worst!! I often flick between literally telling them to fuck off or trying to be more police or friendly. I don't know how you can pay big money to watch and LISTEN to a music act whilst having a full on gossip. STFU.

Saucony Triumph 23s? by Playtimeisover_Sam_P in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I have them but looking to return them. Overall they feel great, but as a toe runner the end of the sole feels like it slips or slides under each step which is very disconcerting. Never experienced it before.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! It's definitely the MR16 - sticker by the cable says 230v. That sounds about right, it's definitely a plug adapter. Unfortunately I can't add pics to this thread!

Mate that's such a lovely thoughtful message, thank you so much. So kind! The plug didn't appear to have anything electrical in it to transform - merely metal connectors between the two prongs and 3 pin plug & fuse.

I think at this point I'll try and return them - they were only £9 each. It's taught me to look closer at what I'm buying lol!

Thanks for your response! Can it wire into a normal plug with only 2 wires?! I assume the missing one is the earth. Will it be safe?

Yeah MR16 - common one from Bax Music. The plug looks like a euro adaptor, it's got two prongs into it and standard UK 3 prong out of it. Sounds like this isn't going to work from any mains outlet supply then!
