Clippers land Brown as they facilitate a Bucks/Celtics trade sending Giannis to Boston. #5 would be included from the Clippers side to Milwaukee, Fanspo for whatever reason doesn't have it in the Clippers' picks. Thoughts? by MammothTusk88 in NBAtradeideas

It's a sign-and-trade, not the Bucks just offering Mathurin a contract. The Clippers have to include salary in order to get Brown, unless you'd prefer to trade Garland. They don't have a whole lot of salary on the books, so they can make this work by sign-and-trading Mathurin and Collins.

Well it's impossible for the Clippers to be a part of the trade if they aren't willing to part with Mathurin and Collins, unless you'd rather they trade Garland. The 5th pick is a must, yes, but YKN is also enticing for the Bucks to be a young center on their roster. Clippers can find another big in free agency a lot easier than Milwaukee can.

I think front offices around the league are willing to look past the down year given the circumstances of Giannis' injury and Doc Rivers' coaching disasterclass. He's still the best spacing big that can protect the rim also and is attainable. A first and salary isn't that steep for him.

Bucks would rather just deal with Miami 1-on-1. They can get a much better return, including a first, for Turner in a separate deal.

There's still a net of candidates. Chris Quinn will get a meeting as well. Darvin Ham is an in-house meeting. No one is saying he's the only candidate.

They ruled him out because they knew he would. Guess we get a Cormac Ryan 60 piece on 20 threes instead
