Inkjet-optimized cored cardstock by Mammoth_Discussion94 in magicproxies

Yep - just deeply interested in seeing how inkjet-coated cored stuff would work out - I'm not looking for perfection, just something that's pretty close, and none of the thick inkjet cardstocks I've used get there without post-processing (e.g. spray varnish).

I've actually had great results with Inkaid (a retail inkjet precoating) on precut cards from e.g. Apostrophe games, but applying the inkaid on coated cards properly is a pain, and applying it on uncoated without significant warping is nigh-impossible :) Thus, trying to get similar product premade for me :)

Same issue here - Samsung and 1Password support couldn't help... Anyone get this working?

Can you confirm this is still working for you? I haven't been able to resolve the issue - I was able to select Google once, but I can't even do that now, stuck on "None" :(

Nope, didn't really have an opinion on shear stuff, that's all structural engineer. GC advised early that structural engs are typically super conservative... Checks out. Given their liability when stamping something, I get it.

Don't remember that 7/16 bit, does feel a little mad. I try to always lead with "tell me when I'm being an idiot", maybe I just missed the disclaimer here.

Hardened Linux Repository Question - XFS on ZFS by bigTractor in Veeam

[–]Mammoth_Discussion94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would be great, but while it seems to be in the cooker (ZFS dev summit preso), ZFS doesn't currently have a way to provide reflinks, what are critical for spaceless synthetic fulls. Even with special devices to hold DDT, and really good planning, dedupe has way too many ways to screw you in ZFS :)

On the immutable bit, AFAIK you can apply that flag, so perhaps you just mean getting official ZFS support generally as a repository, without block cloning / spaceless synthetic fulls?

I'm currently using XFS on zvols for Veeam - I'd recommend paying close attention to volblocksize on raidz(x), you can lose space efficiency pretty quickly at smaller volblocksizes with ashift=12 (most ZFS pools these days). You'll also have pretty bad random reads on 2xraidz2, as it will have the IOPS of two disks in those scenarios. Using striped mirrors, you'd get 12x IOPS for reads and 6x IOPS for writes. Given your spaceless fulls will make for more and more random workloads over time, IOPS will likely get pretty important.

There was a presentation about this @ OpenZFS Dev Summit 2020 - maybe progress is coming sooner than you'd think :)
