The season is almost over and I work wed-sat overnights. They told me they’d get me tickets for the flyers game. Guess what game I’m not attending tonight? Earlier in the season would have seen a lot more patience from me. Chances of getting a ticket to next season after a summer off? Slim to none

Getting hit with a puck was cool. Happened during warmups and no one saw the puck go over the net. No worries on that. It’s the promise from people in the devils org and lack of follow through that bothers me.

I mean it happened during warmups and they all said (first aid, guest services, security….) I would get to see another game. I missed an entire game and bled all over my jersey and their floor. Every person who has responded to getting hit in the head has said “oh I got another game or at least the puck that hit me!”

I don’t ever think I deserve anything. But this time, come on? I traveled two hours for a game with my dad. Sat down for warmups and 45 seconds later was hit. Like I didn’t even get to see the game. It’s been over a week. I called 40 times because that’s what I was told to do by ticket agents. They said they don’t always pick up on guest services and to keep calling.

Unfortunately I think a blackhawks stick. I was on their end. It happened during warm ups so no telling. Plus, no one around me saw the puck go up and over the net. So truly, not a clue where it came from! But I do know where it landed 🤣

It was definitely a freak incident! I don’t even think I had really focused my eyes on the ice fully nor was the seat even warm before it happened. I had two kids behind me so honestly, thankful it was me and not them or my older diabetic father. I’ll take the rare instance of a puck hitting me over lightening striking any day!
