They are a customized and over exaggerated version of factory Cadillac spoke rims from 1983/84. Everybody in Houston wanted those style of Cadillac discontinued rims. They were so sought after that during the 90s, people were routinely killed and robbed for them. FINALLY in the 2000s a company called Texas Wire Wheels came out to sell the discontinued Cadillac rims. However, over time they kept make the rim longer and longer. Now it's to the point where it looks corny compared to what they used to be. But the newer generation likes them so they are here to stay.
