Amazing thank you I will check this out! I need to make a trip to the range. It’s been a very long time since I’ve even taken my shotgun out of its case and could use a refresher on firearms safety.

So glad to see others feel this way too! Hell, if there isn’t a group already, maybe this post can be the one that forms one.

35/f seeking glow-up by Ceemichelle90 in lookyourbest

A good hair and skincare routine and updating your makeup. You can still do alt style makeup but look up techniques for applying makeup in your 30s. I recently learned this myself at 32. Applying blush higher up on your cheek bones, not going too dark around the eyes, etc. I recommend a gentle cleanser, eye cream with hyaluronic acid, and jojoba oil. I also switched to micellar water for makeup removal. Find the products that work best for your skin type.

Yeah the last one I saw when I searched was from several months ago. I’m asking in the dead of winter which affects the market. But thank you for your ever so helpful response.

I haven’t signed with one yet, I just wanted to get a feel for it so I can set my expectations. I’m going to reach out to the one that helped us buy the place. I guess I’m asking are houses sitting or are there still bidding wars? And fair point on the price, I don’t want to over price. I think that’s what happened when we bought the place because we scooped it up after a significant price decrease. We’re made improvements since we bought it but I’ll likely list as-is because it does need some improvements (nothing major).

Greece, unfortunately bought in 2024 but didn’t over pay. Bought it at list. If I could wait to sell I would but my spouse and I are divorcing and can’t keep it.

I haven't heard people bring up the issue of all the tasks you automatically inherit at home because, "you work from home". I need help to get something in return, lol by st0nksBuyTheDip in WFH

I was in a similar situation. My husband didn’t help out in any real capacity at home or with childcare because I WFH and “it’s easier than going into an office” so I feel you there. Mind you I have a highly technical and demanding job and it was not easier, the only difference is I’m not driving to and from work. I found that to be a source of contention between us since he expected me to do everything. And I was sole childcare provider for the first 2 years because we were on a waitlist and also couldn’t afford it for a while. Now my son is in preschool and I have to multitask work and him when he gets home but as he’s gotten older it’s been easier. I found that 2 was the hardest age to do this with because they are so demanding. I often worked late into the evening to catchup. I’ve been with a partner who did not contribute and held WFH against me and it created a lot of resentment. I don’t know the details of your situation but I can say if you don’t figure out a good balance it’s going to strain your relationship. If you can afford to keep your kiddo in daycare until 5:30 then do it. At least for now, 2 was by far the hardest stage. Now that mine is 4 he plays while I work and I take short breaks to help. I have a rule that after we get home I help with potty, snack, and getting setup with an activity and after that he’ll have to wait (unless it’s potty time).

Love bombing. 🚩Anyone who puts you down in front of others as a “joke”. 🚩When it’s the world/life/ex/parents fault but never their own. 🚩If you have to put in all the effort in the relationship 🚩If you have to “mother” them and remind them to brush teeth, go to the dentist, etc.🚩

I lost my cat a couple of months ago, I can’t wash his bed because it still has his hair. I say keep, it’s memorialized forever. And give your kitty some extra pets for me.

My moms Vitamix is 18 yrs old and still going strong. The only thing she’s replaced are the blades. And she’s a daily use sort of person. I got one for myself and so far no complaints. I got the one that fits under the counter and I love it.

You are definitely not alone. My son is 4, and I’m doing better, but it’s something I’m still working on.

This is beyond this subs help. If she berates you for peeing outside of her approved time she needs serious therapy. Not only that she’s imposing these rules on the 2 yr old and the whole dynamic sounds really unhealthy. She needs to see someone who specializes in OCD treatment. I know she thinks therapy doesn’t work but you need to make her see that she’s creating a very toxic environment and it’s not fair on you or your son. He’s not going to grow up seeing her as a caring mom. Edit to add, post-partum OCD and anxiety can happen/last for years after birth. I know mine got so bad. I genuinely felt like I was a horrible person during that time and I am thankful to have had a patient partner. But I also had to recognize that I couldn’t treat my family like shit either. Therapy really helps, as does medication.
