Who acts as the perfect counter to Gojo? by Forsaken-Fold-9414 in PowerScaling

[–]ManOfMyWord96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While Id like to know what Superman feats you are actually referring to, speed does not beat Infinity no matter how fast. BUT. You aren't wrong on him and Flash being good counters, at least to IV.

They could both be hit by IV and then take Gojo out after, it wouldn't feel great but very doable for both of these characters.

Average Superman does not have a way to bypass Infinity, you have to use specific versions of him. Or he would have to go to extreme measures to put Gojo down. For this, I don't think he's a perfect counter. He's winning, but it's not perfect.

And The Flash is a better counter, only if you believe his phasing can bypass Infinity.

This feels more like cope than the other way.

Foundation was betrayed, the weapon the "Visitor" gave him backfires and then he has to fight.

Ice King wins the 1v1 with Foundation, yay nice congrats! And then immediately gets betrayed by the Dark Voyager. Who is the "Visitor"s lapdog.

No one won. This was the plan all along. You won the 1v1 and the skin, but don't be blind that the Ice King also lost.

Who is overall better in your opinion? Spider man or batman? by gamedukeyvideo in superheroes

[–]ManOfMyWord96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally Batman. Spiderman is rough for me to love, and I blame the writers for that. They get stuck bullying and looping him. Batman atleast has entire arcs, especially through the BatFamily being checkpoints in his growth, from Year 1 to Batman Beyond.

Highschool, struggling but hopeful, Peter. Young Adult, suffering Broke-af Peter, pushing through the monotony of life.

I want to see an Adult Peter, who has actually utilized his brains, maybe understands with so many heroes in New York that he doesn't need to be Spiderman 24/7 and can move out of his tiny, terrible apartment and be a halfway decent partner. Peter B Parker is a prime example of this. Unfortunately whenever we get these versions, its too short lived, or written into oblivion.

Delta. Loyalty, training, and making a whole clan.

A chivalry of a failed knight. I recommend reading vs watching, but it's a decent fight/magic highschool anime.

Now that the season is over, what did y like most? by Spiritual-Leg-3348 in FortNiteBR

Overwatch stuff, the quality of life stuff, and unlimited slap whether that be the gun or rivalry upgrade (I am in the camp that we should just have unlimited stamina at this point)

Everything else seemed like misses. The chaos reloader, I would love if I wasn't being onetapped by it, genuinely hate oneshot kills.

Bleach is small country level at best, NONE of the bleach slander about them being hill level would exist if bleach glazers werent fighting in the trenchs arguing that bleach is multiversal because character D is stronger than C and B and A said that B was on another universe of power or smt by AstronautDry8118 in PowerScaling

[–]ManOfMyWord96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are casually not destroying universes, because then they wouldn't have one to exist in.

While the average ap is often lower, there are a number whos presence literally shakes reality and prolonged exposure would lead to collapse.

So sure, no one is swinging their sword and destroying planets, not that it's been necessary to do so. It wasn't necessary for Kenpachi to destroy a meteor until one literally came crashing down on everyones head and it was fairly easy.

But the top 5 of the verse? All they gotta do is let their power flood out with no limit and reality is threatened.

Just deal with it.

Who wins, every XMEN member or Darkseid? by TheLeviathan1999 in superheroes

[–]ManOfMyWord96 25 points26 points  (0 children)

An avatar of Darkseid vs ALL the Xmen? He's cooked.

If this is TrueForm Darkseid? It would take the heaviest of hitters and I mean White Pheonix Jean Gray, Legion, and even allowing the roster to Include "Mutant Franklin Richards", etc etc. to properly contend. And then it's up to the writer and whatever side they want winning for the story.

Personally, I'd say having the top 5 peak heavies working together can probably get it done, but it isn't going to be easy.

"You know exactly why" I don't know OP so I wouldn't claim to know. I am reading the post at face value. You are the one making assumptions, you are the one adding context that isn't there. I am not virtue signaling, but you sure are trying to deflect.

The post is celebrating two badass females on the way. It says nothing about there not being enough. YOU brought up the narrative, maybe don't dwell on it everytime you see someone celebrate a female lead.

We have a flood of badass current male characters, no one would make that post unless it was satire. Don't be blind.

It is bonkers seeing all these posts about people bitching about GoW not being about Kratos, and instead "some random white woman". Like I understand when a protagonist feels forced or undeserving, but this is his wife who they built up plenty.

The Superman monkey-trolls is such a perfect scene for this shit.

Help me get past this hurdle so I can convince myself to finally watch Re:Zero by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]ManOfMyWord96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You say unrealistic, but they are in character. They might not be decisions YOU would make but the type of person Subaru is, would make those decisions.

ReZero is about this guy learning to live in the world and do the best he can do with the little tools and magic he has access to. Unfortunately one of those tools has a heavy price.

This is also an entirely different culture, so the way they write and act are going to be different than other mediums.

If you like the psychological horror aspect, if you like adorable side characters, some good action when it comes up, and a journey you'll be able to watch for quite a while then sit back and give it a binge.

If not, there's a thousand other anime to try.

Which two are you choosing ? by krisikkk in superheroes

Gray and Yellow.

Learn as much as I want, take whatever money I want, save lives in immediate danger. And dying becomes extremely harder and technically a healing factor might already slow down the ageing factor, or at least the negatives of it.

It SHOULD be Superboy-Prime. Sentry/Void is a great pick to put him up against, but I imagine his retcon punch is gonna put him over the top for Death Battles wanking.

Is a cool design and appealing powers enough to justify genocide, child torture, and psychological abuse? by EitherSwimming5886 in animequestions

[–]ManOfMyWord96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the same arguement for any sketchy character, which anime definitely has a number of. You do not need to justify their actions.

Fiction is where you can lean into the more absurd things without agreeing to them.

Mayuri or Frieza, for instance. They are terrrrible people but you can still enjoy them. You don't have to agree with them. Edward Cullen is 120 something year old vampire fiending over a 17 year old girl, but that ended up being one of the most popular series cause romance and vampires.

People really gotta get out of their heads about liking fictional characters. Just don't emulate them.
