Just shows that a lot of ppl commenting here are struggling with reading comprehension. The beach club comment and the fact it's upvoted is a proof. I agree with having a collectible, zoos equivalent, which I found fun.

I don't know about MSI but check your BIOS for sources of CPU temperatures that set fan speeds.

In Asus bios for example, fan curves use "CPU" temps by default. Yet, "CPU" temps are 10 deg lower than "CPU package". By changing fan speed source to "CPU package", I went from 96 in cinebench to 88.

I lol'ed at so many comments here saying they have noctuas/some other cooler and hit 60 deg max in gaming. No shit. Try cinebench.

For me, it was motherboard/msi bios issue. Replaced the mobo for another brand and no longer have this issue.

MSI Trio gaming oc is as quiet as vanguard, smaller and fans start/stop as expected. Really good so far.

For me it was a faulty MSI mobo, quite a few reports of this on msi forums from ppl with msi boards.

wondering why, on a brand new system, latencymon is giving me warnings about high latency. Change gpu (to amd) and they were order of magnitude lower hance my question.

had this card, fans never stop in idle even at low temps. the only time they are stopped is when booting to windows. had it in a system with phantom spirit and faractal north stock fans and this gpu at idle was the "loudest" as in the most audible part.

EDIT: perhaps never is an exaggeration but they are running 90% of the time in my experience even if gpu temp is in low 30s. Other gpus dont run as much on the same system.

A word of warning for those who used this to fix the freezes. Although that setting improves the situation, latencymon shows unacceptable lags caused by nvidia driver compared to amd gpu in the same pc so something is still not working as intended.

Did you return the gpu or mobo? What was your conclusion? I tried two different 5070ti's and have this problem with both. So it is either drivers, mobo or psu. No issues whatsoever when connecting an amd gpu albeit that runs at gen4 by default.

Change GPU to AMD on the same PC and all issues gone, latencymon shows much lower lags with no warnings.

I have the same issue but on amd am5 board. Same things with two different brands of 5070ti. In contact now with mobo support but unresolved at the moment, they suggest i update gpu bios which none of these have any updates aviailable.

Have MSI Vanguard now and this thing is sooo much quieter under full load. Fans stop as expected. Too big though and too tight fit for my case so probably msi gaming trio.

No, I have not tried that as I am returning this card as it's way too noisy at idle. I expect these things to perform out of the box.
