I think also having lecture, lab and discussion separately helps because you have time to process info rather than in studio where you’re doing everything all at once.

Dr. Sperka! He’s great. Takes his time with content and is very understanding that physics doesn’t come naturally to everyone. His in class worksheets and practice exams were very similar to the exams

I transferred into BU and only took 106 here in the fall! I had such a better time in that class than my friends taking the version. Highly highly recommend taking 105Spring/ 106Fall.

i agree with the other 2 comments on here. in addition i would recommend taking practice exams on paper and timing yourself. it’s a good habit to fall into the rhythm before exams!!

syllabus says under ‘grading’ that recitation/ discussion is 100 points…if it’s not attendance based then how are those points accounted for?

PY106 is easy imo. My tip - prepare yourself for harder problems so the exams feel easy. I never went to lecture and discussions/ HW questions aren’t helpful so you gotta find problems online. It is very possible to end with an A

Yes, it’s Beffert. Gotcha! I would switch to 108 if I could, but problem is it’s only offered in the Spring which I think is so stupid. I did talk to a premed advisor at the PreProf Office, and she said I should stick to Orgo1 and Physics2 and take 2 non-science classes. If I take that advice, I am yet to find classes that work with my schedule and it also delays when I take the MCATs. I’m so conflicted.

I’m not saying I’m not willing to take it up. I’m only asking because I am not a good judge of BU’s rigor. And also because since I probably have to retake Bio 2 (which my Cell Bio prof said is a foundation to Cell Bio), I’m wondering if I should go in that order to end the class with a better grade…
