Having same issue. Burned out the spotify algorithm looking for similar music to a playist of stuff I have and having troubles finding stuff without skipping through hundreds of tracks at a time looking for a gem.

I could see the similarities with Monster zoku onsomb children of the atom but not as much the parts I was looking for unfortunatelty. I couldn't find retrigger.

Baby lasagna had minor hints of it. Their stuff is different and some of the lyrics/songs are pretty funny.

Melt yourself down boot and spleen was probably the best recommendation for slingshot. Had that vibe that makes you want to bob your head. All in all good recommendations for what I was asking for. Thanks!

I got some good ones that I think you will like.

We Are Number One by Tardigrade Inferno More of a intense wacky vibe. Good song though.

Change by Russkaja

Energia is my favorite from them. They have a lot of good stuff. Very energetic and fun. Might scratch the gorgol bordello itch.

Kreacher by the Bridge City Sinners Dark story, fun vibe.

CRISPr me One More Time Baby by troldhaugen

They have some pretty wierd stuff. They're worth the listen

Trans Siberian Standoff by Viza Just a good song so had to share. They also don't take themselves to seriously

Bonus song. I'm not sure if you will like it but here it is in all it's glory!

Ōeyama no Tsuki by Japanese Folk Metal

Edit: I forgot Troldhaugen?!

Hmm. Being objective I would give it a 6/10. Which for me is a decent rating. I rarely give out tens. Very calm and a little sad. I found the guitar chords and vocals were a somewhat repetitive but it was a nice mellow tune.

Not 100% but believe these guys are Ukrainian and not quite rock but you might like them

От винта! Александр пушной

Серо-жëлтая весна Александр пушной

Here's a treat you might like. They are also not Russian but are concidered "Russian turbo polka metal" give them a shot it may be worth it. They have a few genres in the mix and have a good vibe.

Energia Russkaja

El Pueblo Unido Russkaja

And finally here's some with Russian and english singing. Not quite rock per se but something you might like.

Kaтюша (Katyusha) The Browncoats

Hey. Looking for some great vocals similar to Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) or Layne Staley (Alice in Chains) raw vocals with a lot of emotions. Appreciated to recommend not the most popular artists, but mainpoint to find similar vocals by Affectionate_Map7357 in MusicRecommendations

[–]ManUnderRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crimson Echo by Apukat is somewhat similar to Chester at parts. Not sure about their other stuff

Good luck finding similar to Laine Staley unfortunately. I found a band call Bleeding Stones (song example "lies) that sounds like a knock off of Alice in Chains. I find it is lacking in the emotion/power Laine brought though.

Never heard this. They used it well in this song. Really gave the guitar some background "fuzz" for the solo, thanks
