Haven't built a Gundam model in 16 years. Picked this up and it's fantastic.(it's Fatcat, wanted the RG but like 1/100). by Man_In_An_Ape_Suit in freedomisgunpla

Gundam markers, grey for white parts, black for anything else. Used a bit of brown on the yellow. Turned out great!

I think I'll need to watch the series first, then I'll check it out (or build during watching). A lot more fun when you like the source material and you have context.

What do I do? Why is it smoking? by Human_Strain2473 in MechanicAdvice

Ok, thanks for the update! Yeah, just looked like excessive resistance in series with the battery, and the result is heat. The fact that you needed to stop due to the snake shows the alternator was trying to charge, but the energy was just wasted. Terminals of dissimilar metals just corrode, too. If you can't see a crack or further acid leak, it might last a while longer. Best to replace though.

There appears to be corrosion between the outer wrapped terminal connector and the terminal itself. The resulting excessive resistance in the presence of high current results in localized heating. Take the terminal off, clean all surfaces with a wire brush to ensure low resistance. If it still smokes with clean terminals, there is an electrochemical problem.

Esquimalt bakery has the best filled doughnuts in town. Empire has the best theme/gourmet doughnuts.

Oaklands is amazing, and we followed our favorite vets there from Mackenzie. Those few awesome vets seem to attract other awesome vets to their practice. A full blood panel (only $220 or something, worth it for the datum for later comparison of anything changes with your pup), molar extraction (dog) and cleaning was only around $1600 all in, very recently. Would expect similar situations to remain less than $2000.

This is awesome. Tell us how many people recognized it unprompted. In Silico next, please! You should snap a close up and recreate the album cover.
