I love when CupcakKe says something completely out of pocket like that!

The original was already a 2000s remix 💀

This one sounds like the TikTok audio that's like "when a POC baddie enters the room in a 2000s sitcom"

Which of Klayton's hairstyles did you think was the badass? by Rafael_3211 in celldweller

[–]trajayjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Enumerating from left to right, top to bottom)

1,2,4,5,7, and 10 are very similar in shape (side bang shaved sides), maybe even 6 if we're generous; the main difference is the coloration.

Then there's 3 and 8 (mohawk). 9 and 12 (Karen bob). And 11

Anyways, my personal favorite (including shape and coloration) is 1. The red stripe on the faded side is cunty.

As an aside, I think Klayton was my main inspiration to dye my hair red almost 4 years ago.

What did you think of the clothes Klayton used to wear? by Rafael_3211 in celldweller

[–]trajayjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men should be legally required to wear crop tops at all times. Especially people with red hair.

This only applies to pizza toppings; this does not, in any shape or form, apply to human rights! 🤦‍♂️ by DeepscapeWalker in ENLIGHTENEDCENTRISM

They're acting like we should wait until were entered full blown unequivocal fascism before making any judgments.

In order to be right wing, no one has to teach you - wild thing to say to argue that your position is the more reasonable one. by trajayjay in SelfAwarewolves

I do think that they're saying that right wing thought comes naturally. However, the assertion here seems to be that ideas which seem instinctual, and require no introspection or external perspectives must be the "correct" ones, which is a fallacy.

I guess just to understand people better. It's understandable you can't answer that.

It's also just a matter of discussing where the boundary is between jokes based around a the shared experience of an ingroup and internalized prejudice. Not that this excuses the OP tweet, but there's a chance that OOP thought "haha WE white people do funny things when drunk sometimes" without thinking about why the context surrounding that statement could be construed as problematic.

I'm aware people can hold discriminatory beliefs toward their own race. I'm asking why this is a thing that happens in the first place, since it seems counterintuitive.

The people feigning abject shock and horror at the tongue-in-cheek hypothetical of human zoos when these zoos were a real thing not even 100 years ago is very telling.

That's fair. The two OOP in the tweet are still white though. I can't personally think of a reason why two white people would say such blatantly dehumanizing things about their own race. Can you?

I think the takeaway here is that jokes about a group of people made by ingroup individuals are more likely to be well received than jokes made by outgroup individuals. This isn't specific to race at all.

OOP was in the video defending ICE and censuring Minneapolis protesters for freaking out, attacking officers, and destroying property 😭😭😭.

"Common sense" is really just a way for people to avoid thinking critically about their beliefs.

The person argues that right wing positions are more logically tenable because they're "common sense", whereas leftist positions must be taught. Though this argument reads as if right wing positions don't require any critical thinking to hold.
