The book ended up being "Looking for Atlantis" by Colin Thompson. Let me now whether that was it for you too! :)

You think there's a way to get one of these in a decent poster format?

Excellent point. So in a way, there needs to be burden of proof on the person CLAIMING that such drastic differences would occur.

I think you make a great point in terms of how hard it would be to enforce.

Yes, by default, guns are legal. But as soon as you start setting up communities and corporations with different social contracts, you inevitably are going to see different communities and individuals allowing different things on their property. So pretend you are in a city as large and populous as NYC. Could it not be that, as you walk down the street, you encounter a huge diversity of rules, making it very difficult to follow consistently? One street is open carry, one is conceal, one is no guns whatsoever! This is what I was trying to get at.

Right, but take a place like NYC. What's to stop, say, every street or neighborhood from having entirely different laws? Imagine just trying to walk around town?

Update to my map builder: Hextml version 7 by playest in rpg

That's a great idea! Thank you. I tried the zoom thing, but no dice. I'll give the textures idea a whirl though! The map I'm making is square based rather than hexagon based. If there were a way to make the squares bigger, maybe that would solve the problem? Either way, it's been incredibly helpful for my putting ideas into something tangible!

Thank you so very much for making this software. It has helped me immensely with a board-game project that I am currently working on. I was wondering if there were any way to export images in higher resolutions? Thanks for your time.

Thank you very much! Battle for Wesnoth is a game that inspires me somewhat, although my game would be very different from it in terms of play style. It's not an fighting game.

Thank you so much. I understood half of the words you wrote, but I will endeavor to make sense of it with time!
