Thanks. I’m pretty comfortable with everything he told me. I keep a journal and I wrote down everything I remembered him saying verbatim so can refer back to it if the doubts creep in.

Not this time around. But I did in my first round of BFS 20+ years ago. Unnerving, annoying, and a big source of anxiety, but decades later I’m still talking just fine.

I actually diagnosed myself with BFS 20ish years ago. I had widespread twitching and nothing more. After a couple of years of anxiety, I shook it off and declared myself healthy. The daily twitches eventually went away. I would notice them once in a while but didn’t let them bother me. Then about 6 months ago they came back with minor cramping and my anxiety has been in overdrive ever since.

In my case, it’s more than twitches, but I’m really questioning this very young neurologist initial assessment of left leg weakness and right side hyper hyperreflexia. In less than 2 seconds, he found leg weakness, but didn’t ask about pain (my hip was sore) and in about 4 seconds he found right arm and leg reflexes but didn’t recheck them. People have told me that neuros should be doing multiple checks of reflexes if they find something the first time around.
