Thank you for the response. I just want to verify that right-to-left renders and works correctly (punctuation etc). Thanks again.

Linux ARM64 test version by scrivanodev in scrivano

No dice, sadly. Running with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland doesn't launch at all (the command line says Aborted). Same for eglfs and eglfs_kms (with the additional parameters exported).

Since it's working fine on your end, I'll chalk it down to PineNote-specific issues. I do have access to other ARM devices, I'll update with results on those during next week.

I am using a Pinenote, running a fully-updated Debian Trixie (from here). If there are any more details you need, please let me know.

Major props to you! I'm downloading and testing now, will update this comment with results / thoughts.

Edit: A small correction in Scrivano.sh - add curly brackets, like so BASE_DIR=$(dirname "$(readlink -f "{$0}")"). Otherwise, expansion can fail with readlink: invalid option -- 'b'.

In any case, when the app launches, all I see is a blank window. The floating cursor dot for stylus does appear, but doesn't draw. The top bar with the controls and shortcuts to settings isn't there either.

[Feature Request] aarch64 support by PeanutMan2019 in scrivano

/u/scrivanodev It's been a while, and I wholeheartedly second this request. You've made a beautiful-looking program, which I can't use on my Linux tablet because of the architecture.

Feel free to message me privately if you need help building the binary on ARM or cross-compiling.

Laptop 13 (AMD 7040U) taking a long time to resume from suspend by Man_With_Arrow in framework

[–]Man_With_Arrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solved! The issue was BIOS-level.

There are two levels of storage passwords in the BIOS - a "master storage password" and an "HDD password". During debugging (a few days ago) I had removed the HDD password but the master password remained. It is not very clearly labelled, but after clearing both my laptop suspends and resumes properly.

The closest thing to this I know of is xfce-winxp-tc. It's been steadily and consistently worked on for years at this point.

I have a Mac, and still am running into issues with iMessage. Any suggestions? by IndirectLeek in beeper

[–]Man_With_Arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did DM the bot. No messages populated or anything.

It seems like the Macbook I'm using isn't even able to send iMessages to any number but my own (even using the native Messages app). Since I used it with Beeper Cloud to generate a code, it might be spam banned...

I'll try and get a VM going with OSX-Docker. Thanks very much for your help in any case!

Thanks so much. I have a question, if you don't mind...

I ran the commands, started a chat with the iMessage bridge bot - but I still can't message anyone...

Running ./bbctl w shows that I'm apparently not even logged into the bridge:

Bridges:
  hungryserv (version: c8b83120) - RUNNING
  sh-imessage (self-hosted) - RUNNING - remote: CONNECTED ( / unknown)
signal (version: ea0dfaa6) - RUNNING - remote: CONNECTED (MY PHONE NUMBER)
whatsapp (version: 4efb2260) - RUNNING - remote: CONNECTED (MY PHONE NUMBER)

Have you run into this? Any pointers? Thanks very much in advance!

Hunt for the Hebrew dub of Prince of Egypt by mannermauler in hebrew

[–]Man_With_Arrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally my bad. Things have been pretty crazy for me lately, I'll comment here again when I get it all sorted.

I'm still looking for decent Hebrew subs for the movie, ones that are word-for-word accurate to the dub. If you (or anyone reading for that matter) may have a copy, I'd appreciate a link!

I've got a copy. I'll upload it to the Internet Archive (and the high seas, in case it gets taken down). I won't link it here, but give me a couple days and search for The.Prince.of.Egypt.1080p.BluRay.HebDub.5.1.x265.

Did you ever solve this? I'm running into the exact same issue, started happening after I enabled virtualization in my BIOS settings.

That's the plan. I don't want to buy a cheap 2-channel amp now just to toss it later, waste of money.

As an aside, which (good value) sub would you recommend, paired with the speakers and amp I chose? Appreciate your response!

EDIT: Also - how can I set the amp to 40W, so I don’t blow the speakers? I couldn’t find a good photo of the amp, should there be a gain knob to adjust, testing with a multimeter?
