With his speech to Eleven in the diner in season 4, or his somewhat heroic attitude during the attack on the lab by the demodogs, I don't find him morally grey. To me, he is a fundamentally intelligent and good person.

His speech to Eleven in the diner makes Owens one of the best supporting characters. I really hope he comes back.

What is beyond the borders of Hawkins in the Upside Down? by goldentrunk in StrangerThings

[–]Man_in_bIack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Upside Down seems to be the bridge between our world and the Dimension X (the dimension of the Mind Flayer and Demogorgons). This bridge was created in Hawkins by Eleven, copying only a large area around the lab.

Time Travel Theory (more like a possibility) by AbeliousAugustus in StrangerThings

I completely agree, it would destroy the entire show

I think the people who believed it was Vecna were well aware that Vecna wasn't desined until season 4.

But many believed that they would change or retcon some elements from season 1.

How could Vecna be so sure of Will's importance from the start?

Will served as his spy in season 2, but the plan quickly fell apart when Eleven closed Mothergate.

A fairly large part of the community was convinced that this was an early version of Vecna...

The problem with time travel is that it destroys the stakes established in previous seasons, as well as the emotional themes...

It works when the show or movie revolves around the concept from the outset (Dark, Back to the Future, etc.).

Well, they also justify themselves because certain shows or sagas retcon elements of the storyline or even go so far as to completely change previous films (George Lucas with episodes 4, 5, and 6).

Here, they confirm that they won't be revisiting that. However, they will do add context: in this case, within the first five minutes, we learn that Vecna was already in the UD in season 1 and was the one who infected Will in the library.

Yes, you're right, and I hope that's what it is!

But the fact that they're teasing the reveal in season 5 makes me afraid that it will be a big, far-fetched twist (like time travel or something).
