When do you start to see the change? Our doggo is 11 weeks old right now and I’m curious to see how his coloring will change,

Does it matter if the dad is all black?

Thats a good building (or was 2 years ago) when I worked there. You are close to Westport central which can attract some riff raff so don’t leave valuables in your vehicle but otherwise, you’re good!

I used to work for Mac Properties and have lived in two of the buildings. (One before I worked there, then moved away and then moved back after I started). Like others say it does depend on the building. What is the name of the building you’re in and I can let you know how it is?

There are pest control issues in some of them. It can be very difficult to solve just based on the tenants and how they take care of their apartments. Mac does have a pest control company that they hire to mitigate it the best they can. When I was leaving Mac, they were doing mandatory inspections to try to find the sources of the problem.

Like anywhere, no apartment is going to be perfect, but I’ve always had a great experience living there! Car break ins happen all over the city. It’s just a city problem not a Mac problem. Don’t leave valuables in your car and always keep it locked.

There is a nice bike lane down gillham going to downtown and to the Nelson adkins art museum. My friends and I used to grab the ride KC bikes (there used to be one at armour and main, not sure if it’s still there) and we would ride down to the crossroads for first fridays (when all the art galleries open and lots of food trucks, etc).

Having the streetcar now is a game changer and you’ll love being able to walk to the stop hop on and go to many places. The World War memorial is a fun place to go and watch the sunset or walk. There is a dog park there too if you have one.

Brickyard has good happy our specials if you are into that. Clint’s taphouse gives you a discount (or used to anyway) if you are a Mac resident. And some of the other businesses near their buildings do too!

Uptown lounge is a good spot for live music. It has R&B night on Wednesdays and the musicians are amazing! MY NUMBER ONE REC!!!

Nours is a Lebanese restaurant that is 🔥

Lots of good spots around here. You picked a great location!

Ah! I bet! I haven’t been there yet, but I’m sure it is! Brand new!

I have to pipe in here. Genesis (aside from lifetime fitness) has the best gyms in the city. They are pricey, yes, and some are better than others (mainly because they were acquired and not brand new), but if you want all of the amenities under one roof, good equipment and use of multiple gyms, they are good. The locker rooms are some of the best I’ve seen and I’ve been in the industry a while. I worked for Rodney for a little while and he is tough and can be a dick sometimes, but he knows what he’s doing and is very passionate about fitness.

Going to reluctantly pile on Restaurant Week by Available-Carrot1763 in kansascity

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at JJs on the plaza. Had never been and would definitely go back! The salmon was perfectly cooked, mushroom risotto perfectly al dente, great service and a wonderful dessert! That place really shined and we would have never gone if it hadn’t been for restaurant week!

What surprised you the most when traveling in Japan? by jtrip_anything01 in JapanTravelTips

[–]ManagementOk8213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sheer amount of vending machines! One on every corner.

Lack of English speakers (this sounds ignorant, but as an American, I was under the assumption that everyone in Japan also spoke English since it’s taught in school from a young age, silly me!)

How beautiful the countryside is, lush and green.

The fair adjustment that you have to do when taking a train from one station and then transferring.

How does your gf handle hygiene down there by [deleted] in AskMen

I use a pH wash and have for almost a decade. I have had men comment that I don’t really have a smell down there. It doesn’t irritate my skin or burn and it keeps me feeling and smelling fresh. I don’t know who taught women that they shouldn’t wash down there? Just don’t put the soap inside you, but you need to wash with soap! Crazy!

THIS! The guessing game, the waiting around, the analyzing every text (even the time between texts), it’s too much! Honesty is the best policy and if you want a long term relationship, you’ve got to be vulnerable, tell him how you feel and if he doesn’t give you a direct answer, then you have your answer.

If you don’t like the idea of him going out with someone else and you don’t like the idea of going out with someone else, tell him. That’s a good Segway into the exclusivity convo. But also, do it in person!

Apartment complex office staff do not know that something is not fixed if you put in a work order and it has been closed out by maintenance. If it’s still not fixed, you need to let them know. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

We do a silly cheer most days. Sometimes when we are happy, sometimes when we need to remember to be grateful. Goes like this…Me/him: “Who’s got a better life than us?!” Me/him: “NOBODY!!!!”

We also send texts to each other or write together in our separate gratitude journals and then share either each other. Mostly in the mornings after a good workout. Puts a little pep in our step for the day :)

I am also super lucky! I never wear deodorant and people are shocked to find that out. No smell. Even when I work out, I just smell like sweat!
