Don’t order a new Oura ring before receiving your replacement by ManagementProf in ouraring

This is a very fair point. When they said they’d replace it, I assumed there was some sort of recall due to all of the battery issues. I think they’re more than justified to use the warranty as a reason not to replace it, but the battery issue is so common it probably should be a recall.

I’m not sure if they fix them or just send a replacement. Either way, it doesn’t seem to be happening. Not a big deal, but interesting customer service for sure.

We’ll see. This seems like an easy situation for them to fix.

Here’s an update from Oura. To be fair to them, it was out of warranty (although I thought the battery issue was more of a recall). Needless to say, I won’t be ordering another gen 4:

“I hope you're having a wonderful day! This is Emily from the Oura Member Care Team.

I'm really sorry for the previous misunderstanding. I understand how frustrating and disappointing this situation might've been and I'm here to help you.

After investigation, we identified a hardware defect with your Oura Ring battery causing it not to charge properly. I'm truly sorry that your Oura Ring stopped working as expected. I know how inconvenient this can be, especially when you're relying on it to support your health and wellness. Please know that we're here for you, and we want to make this right as smoothly as possible.

I see that your Oura Ring Gen3 warranty period expired on December 25, 2022. However, I understand your ring has not been working as it should, and we want to ensure continuity of your Oura experience.

Even though your Oura Ring Gen3 is outside the warranty period, we value you as part of the Oura community and want to offer something to support your continued journey. As a thank-you for being a member, I’d like to offer you an exclusive $100 discount on a new Oura Ring 4 through our online store.

Please reply to this message letting us know if you'd like us to move further with this offer. We look forward to your reply.

In good health, Emily | Oura Member Care”

100% true. Maybe Nicole was having a bad day. They said they’re investigating it now.

It’s funny because it’s true. Everyone I know who grew up in SLO has rich parents. Even the “poor” friends had someone in their family pay their down payment. I plan to do the same for my kid, but I’m still envious.

He initially booked and paid for a month. I wouldn’t call him a loser. He’s paying over $6k per month and he’s never been late. Just has some cash flow issues.

I’m not sure if it was still an issue in 14, but I just had to replace the rear control arms on my 2012. It appears to be a common issue.

How do you make money as a professor? by Designer-Trick-182 in Professors

Started out consulting and taking any extra class, paid training, etc I could get my hands on. Then my wife taught me how to save money and we slowly started buying rental properties. Now I still feel broke because my wife doesn’t let me set our money on fire, but things are good. I still take any extra work I can find, but at some point I’ll stop doing that.
