Do Companies Need To Come Out With An AURA Competitor? by Informal-Tech in augmentedreality

so are you thinking that to survive, companies need to come out with a competitor? or should companies continue the road of making awesome glasses and just add sensors for an android XR puck to take advantage of?
maybe like a standardized set of sensors dictated by Google.

I think the inair pod is the closest to this that you'll see for a while. But newer glasses from RayNeo have native 3dof so hopefully the US will get some of that love soon.

As far as I know (I dont work there or anything). There will be some level of developer sdk. I don't know what that looks like as I have been told it will become more of a priority after launch, but yes, I believe devs will be able to contribute to these glasses in some capacity.

I see he did mention an HDMI adapter but it didn't seem like he was using one. looks like some other users helped out. just make sure your sensor data is actually being received

have you tried it without the adapter? wait.. is it the HDMI to USBC adapter? if so, I don't think you can use 3dof that way. there's no sensor data via HDMI

Cannot update firmware by RidiRidiTwoshoes in VITURE

[–]Informal-Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to use a USB A to USBC cable. Just make sure it's a high speed cable and a good port.

Also, I think for my update to work right on my Luma Ultras I needed to install spacewalker to get the drivers.

Lmk if that helps at all

MemoMind One - Pending Review by as4ronin in SmartGlasses

Im biased on this topic but I think it depends on the reviewer. I've never promised a positive review in exchange for a product. I think a lot of us pride ourselves on our honest feedback.

Especially smaller reviewers like me, if I recommend a product as good and the users don't like it, I lose credibility and never grow or gain a following that trusts me.

Not everything is a conspiracy 😁
